Trick,

Which of Jr's 3 opportunities was that on? ;\)grin.gif

Pike,

Pyle is loose and fast. IMO he hasn't had a serious enough crash yet to understand what its like. Kasey Kahne started similarly but settled down alot after his big one.

No getting around the fact that he can put a car up front though.

The best part of the race today was the NAPA commercial when that guy came to the Waltrip autograph signing and dumped that Bristol car all over the table. grin.gif

If you've never seen that wreck it's worth the search on YouTube.

Talledega 2007, Kyle had what most would call a serious wreck, flipped upside down sliding on its roof then took numerous rolls then started on fire. I am sure the video is somewhere on youtube.

I guess I was watching a different race than y'all.

I thought it was a fantastic race Nascar gets a big thumbs up for 50th Daytona 500 get over it guys the New car is darn good!

I'll admit I was bummed out with 1 to go and the Yota's looking good but to have Kurt Busch push Newman past Stewart made me ecstatic to say the least.

The drought at Daytona continues for Tony Stewart... grin.gif

I was wondering how this would play out this morning.

I thought the race was kind of tough to watch. I'm not a big fan of these new cars.

I was on the edge of my seat the last 20 laps but I think I'm that way for every plate race seems like thats when the good stuff happens.

Sad to say but it reminded me of a NBA game watch the last five minutes and you probably did'nt miss anything.

And yes the DW cheerleading is getting old.

I never thought I'd yearn for the old restrictor plate races. That race was really boring. The little gopher that kept popping up just to let you know they were using the gopher cam was SUPER LAME. After about the 5th time I just about threw up. The "last lap was the only decent part of the race. I thought it would be between the 20 & 18. But it still was really boring. I'm glad I watched it on tape delayed DVR to skip all the commercials, and some of the follow the leader.

Hey PierBridge,

Don't wish Tony too much bad luck! From what I understand, he has a checklist of things he wants to accomplish in NASCAR. Once thats over, he said he would gone for good.

The Daytona 500 is one of em.

I'm wondering though, what are your top 5 reasons you don't like him? If you can keep it to 5! (I'm chuckling while typing).

1. He's a bully

2. He's hypocryte (spelling?)

3. He's a JRK to other racers including his teammates

4. He's Selfish

5. I don't like the name tony. Ok now I'm reaching

I do know that he is very charitable and one heck of a driver, but I still don't like him.

HAHA! The Gopher Cam is simply put there so when NASCAR needs a caution they can poke that camera up and flatten someones tires!!

I thought the 17 screamed "someone talk to me" as if he was asking whether to bring it to the pits or the garage. We rewound the DVR because we weren't sure if he swore the first time.

NASCAR BLOWS NOW!!!! The new cars are horrible. I was diehard NASCAR fan until they brought those stupid cars into the mix. Those cars belong on road tracks running in the Rolex series. Whatever happen to STOCK CAR racing. If you take the emblem off the hoods the new cars are all identical, inside and out. STUPID STUPID STUPID!!!!!!!!!

Nice Run for Your boy Mikey NAPA, another good solid 29th place day at his best track after an outside front row starting spot. No wonder you have to hope GOOD DRIVERS have trouble for your meager happy moments. PATHETIC napafish and INCOMPETENT Mikey, what a pair of losers!!!!!!!!

I really enjoy your personal attacks. It makes me chuckle, but ya know what else makes me laugh

ATLANTA, NOVEMBER 1997 - Coming out of the garage, Gordon lost control and blindsided the parked Pontiac of Bobby Hamilton.

Funny stuff

Yeah, HL, you're right. But it doesn't seem real bad - I think. Everybody's got their fav hero and criminal drivers it seems. As long we can take it on the chin and keep smiling! grin.gif

I sometimes shake my head at my guy too, but I'll keep rooting for him every Sunday. And some Saturdays. ;\)

I'm having fun - anyway.............

Hi everyone!!

Well...from the perspective in the stands, one thing stands out to me...with the larger hole in the restrictor plate, the cars did not stay together after green flag pit stops...they got strung out pretty quickly after them.

While the cars are bunched, they definitely had their hands full. Anyone who ended up in the middle went straight to the back as they should, and you could really see the cars on the back stretch get their run into turn 3....the draft and slingshot are definitely back.

The race was fun to be at, but it got old when they were strung out...it almost seemed like a long run at California speedway. My wife said it reminded her of the older days watching the race (non restrictor) when the cars would get strung out.

This might be what we see...although not being in front of a TV screen we were skeptical of the "debris caution" on Lap 79...not long after the second set of green flag pitstops. I immediately started watching for a service vehicle to hit the track, and only one was out on the beginning of the back stretch..it stopped, nobody got out, then moved on to another spot, nobody got out. Then back to it's position (it wasn't a pick-up truck with track attendants in it-it was an SUV. ...the cars were all single file at that point. Then we saw the same thing later on. Did FOX show any of the debris on the track?
