Hendrick Caught Cheating....again

Apparently the #5 car that Jr. is to drive in the Nationwide Series had an illegal spoiler and was impounded. They've corrected the problem and will allow him to race. Hendrick and Jr. said they'll punish the crew chief over and above whatever NASCAR does and they weren't real happy about it.

They all mess up now and then. If one wants to be competitive in any form of racing, you will need to split hairs or you will not be fast enough.

There is a very fine line from be legal and getting that close to the edge. It happens in the motors and the Chassis.

It usually happens to all the faster teams as they are on their game so to speak.

According to NASCAR it was a blatant attempt to gain an advantage and they were going to throw him out of the facilities for the weekend because of that. Might be a tad more than a split hair it sounds like.

I think as we start to see the COT this year there will be a number of teams trying to get away with different things. This cars are really going to pull the drivers back together.

Any advantage they can get or take will make there cars that much better.

One uses every advantage that one can find and hopefully they pass tech. Some dont, thats the way it will always be. Seems that the faster team are the ones that don't pass tech but, they also win alot of races.

Its that fine line that will win races. Darn cheaters.

Good luck to all and lets have some fun.

This is much ado about nothing. Its a Busch race for heavan's sake, who really cares... Besides I'm sure the illegal spoiler idea came from the same Eury-Earnhardt connectin that had the same exact idea last year on the COT. Look how well it worked for them there.

Funny, the crew chief, Chad Walter, is a Hendrick implant. The idea must have come from the Knaus-Johnson connection I guess. Maybe Knaus can tell Walter of some good places to watch the race from outside the speedway.
