Auger Blade Exchanges??

Have any of you used the blade exchanges that some shops offer, where you trade in your old blade for a re-sharpened blade? Have you been pleased with the blade you received? I'm thinking of putting a new blade on my Jiffy and am seeking input. Do any of the FM sponsers have this type of program? Thanks!

There is a place in Waseca that does this. I have had good results from them in the past.

You might want to give D-Rock Center in New Brighton a call. I found new blades there for less than half the price of the originals. They cut as good also.

Joe's Sporting Goods in St.Paul sells resharpend blades. I have gotten them for my Strikemaster lazer and they work just fine.

Are they any cheaper? I exchanged a set of blades on my old Eskimo years ago and only saved about $2 over new.

If I recall, after shipping you save about half the price of new. You can check thier HSOforum though.

I've did the exchange program with my strikemaster blades. If you drive near the Big Lake area you can just drop them off. I can't recall the price differance, but know it was well worth it. As for quality back, I haven't noticed a differance. I'm almost certain strickmaster as all the details on their HSOforum. I know this doesn't do any good for your Jiffy....but others might benefit.

I have always used Strikemaster in Big Lake and have never had a problem. If you think you received a blade that is less then perfect, just let them know and they will exchange no questions asked.

Cabin Fever in Victoria has blade exchange (952)443-2022. Price varies from auger to auger.

yes they sell those as I have purchased some there in the past.
