Anyone else watch tonight. It's the end of the king crab. I love the tribute the boys on the Time Bandit gave their Dad at the end. I didn't care for the snot nose calling his Dad and getting the one captain in trouble, thoug I didn't really care for that boat anyway. Pretty good season, Oppie is starting next week and the fun begins then.

I was able to catch most of it. I was happy for the Time Bandit in that they cleaned up in king crab. Also it was cool to see their ritual for their dad.

Opie season is upon us and I cannot wait!!

Was a good show!!! I watch the re-run of it!!! Thought it was cool to see what the Time Bandit did for there dad when he passed away!!! They show John's boy was there at the end?? I thought he went home??

I didn't think the kid should of called his dad either on the Early Dawn, But whatever that boat really wasn't that cool!!!

Now the really show begins!!!

He flew back out to help out when one of the brothers (Andy I think) had to leave to take care of some family business.

Captains son on the Time Bandit came back because Andy Hillstrand had to leave for part of the trip and came back at the end for the drinking.

Do you suppose that North American owner will make his son captain someday? Holy cow. I am sure that crew is done as the captain can't trust them and the crew doesn't like him too much apparently. A whole crew calling in to shore to complain - that has to be a mess.

Great show tonight. every year i like the time bandit more and more, those guys would be fun to hang around with, i guess i look at it this way if your going through 2 months of the worest thing possible and not really making money i would call my dad and tell him the captain is worthless and to try and get out.

Wow, that was a real good show tonight. Left us hangin' with the copter at the end. I'm sure they'll make it back, but that has to be pretty dang freaky. Gotta love the opi season. The wizard had a tuff time to start, phil looses engines and everyone's sick on the northwestern.

I've got to imagine the Coast Guard makes it back okay. How else would they get the film back to include it in the show?

Phil is just a wreck. If the guy didn't have bad luck, he might not have any luck at all. He is really on the crab though!!!

I know it sux to be sick, but boy did Sig look horrible at the beginning of the show. Was kinda funny, but the guy looked terrible.

Some of those waves that the TB and Wizard went through....WOW! How those guys keep their balance in stuff like that is amazing. Working right at the rail in that stuff. Very dangerous! Yet they make it look like clockwork.

Yeah, he looked like warmed over death! He looks like he's aging from show to show, but I suppose in that line of work, I would to!

How big of brake do they have in between the two season??

I think King is in Nov and Opi is in Jan. I know Opi is in Jan. So I think they only get a few weeks off. I know last year the Northwestern was fishing cod before one of the seasons.

Anyone see when Phil's kid calls him to say the other one thinks he's the boss of him and Phil just hangs up. His boys need to grow up.

      got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out

      Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!

      we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
