You have to have your team of 8 drivers selected by 2:00am the night before qualifying. Once this deadline passes you can not change those 8 drivers.

Of those 8 drivers 4 need to be selected for each race. Those 4 drivers can be changed right up until race time, but only with the 8 driver team you selected for that race.

I think the confusion is related more to the lack of "Qualifying" for this race. If you go to fantasy NASCAR and click on your team you will see the race title (Daytona 500) and this (Deadline to select or edit your drivers is Feb 17 2:35pm CST).

Most of the other races will have the Thursday by 2:00 am but this one appears to be Sunday at 2:35 in the afternoon.

The dual is on the 14. This should give some indication of who you will want to be on your team. If you have your teams figured out by Saturday you would be in a lot better shape than forgetting and having to pack up the fishing gear on Sunday to get home in time to get you team changes done.

I'll be a rookie too. Although, I am not new to racing. Just new to this league. If you think you've got what it takes to beat me, jump on in. Should be fun.

AAAHHHHH......I see what your getting at. Since there is no qualifying it appears you can select any driver right up until race time. Thanks for clearing that up.

Well, just know it won't be the same for race #2.(and the rest of the season) You'll have to have your 8 diver team set by qualifying time.

Actually, I am on the fence whether or not to give this a try. How long do you typically spend making your picks each week?

I would say my time spent is about and hour during the week looks at different things.

But then look where I finished last year.

The first year I won it and spent an hour plus each week researching my picks during the week.

last year, I spent 10 minutes per week and finished 8th I believe.

This year, I have already spent a day looking at the whole picture for the year and will spend all the time needed to improve my finish from last season to get back up into the top three.

We will see if this plan works. Tough bunch around here for sure.

Over the last 2 years I've spent about 10 minutes a weeks on my picks 2 years ago I finished 5 or 6. Last year I won. The only difference was last year I forgot to switch my drivers a few times.

We've got another busy summer planned, but hopefully if I forget to switch drivers it would work in my favor.

I have already been researching (which is a lot more fun than cleaning my house), so hopefully I won't do too badly.

Anybody know who Crazy Train is? He/she signed up in the pro group a couple of days ago.
