Found out my daughter and nephew got drawn for 349 A also. Kinda screwed up my plan. I was thinking we'd get drawn this year and they'd get drawn next year, but I guess even though they didn't apply previously for this area, there pref. points follw where ever they go. Should be a blast - It will be my daughters first year in the turkey blind - Gonna be tough if a 25# with a 10 inch beard comes in, but the first one is hers.

First year applying. I figure I would apply for the A hunt to build up some preference points but ended up getting drawn. 152 A baby!!! Only 5 people per hunt also.

My father has three big toms that come in his yard twice a day.

But, his "law of the land", no hunting with 200 yards of the house.

He sees them this time of the year...but by the time hunting comes around...they disappear.

It'll probably be last minute for me - I have 4th season here in scoonie but am group hunting with a first timer and his dad....I'll probably be the last one to pull the trigger so we'd need 3 birds in 5 days. So unless lucky that will leave me with buying a leftover tag for either the 5th or more likely 6th season - bring er right down to the last wire I guess! I'll hunt unit 37 and then 20. The nice thing is I'll have a ton of places to hunt in 20 - almost too many for a couple days of hunting.
