I would guess if you had enough other gas in the tank to thin it out to something like 500:1 or leaner ratio you would be alright. But if you are running your truck on 16:1 only you may have more problems than just smoking like a '62 Plymouth.

I don't believe running mixed gas once in a great while will hurt anything even without dilluting it with other gas. In fact, the lubrication will probably do more good than harm. On the other hand the adage, "too much of a good thing" does come into play. If you ran a mixture all the time you might run into issues.

This is just my opinion though.

I end up throwing some mixed in my truck every year. There are those out there that would not ever do such a thing.

If you do a search on this site you will come up with a ton of posts. It comes up two or three times a year.

I'll take it. smirk.gif

Story about my mint 1978 Chev 3/4 ton 454 cubic" Camper Special.

Being low on gas, I pulled up to a station that I never used before. Not paying much attention I started filling up. To my horror I noticed I had just put in 10 gallons of diesel. The gears started turning as to what to do. Siphon off the diesel and do what with it? I filled the rest of the tank with gas and off I went. Didn't noticed much of a difference although the exhaust smelt different.
