Antelope names..

I have a buddy who lives in Montana. Apparantly they call Antelope "speed goats". LOL!!! it just sounds funny. Anyone else hear of them referred to that?

A lot of people call them speed goats because of their size and obviously how fast they run...have to get the truck going pretty good to try and hit one in the field hehe

Yup and I've heard prairie goats as well.

Yes we call them speed goats too. If its a nice one the name turns to " a shooter"

I have heared them called prairie maggots too out in Wyoming. They also call them some names that I can't put on here. They do alot of damage to their fences.

I lived in Montana from 1988 - 1999 and we refereed to Antelope as "Speed Goats" all the time...
