One thing I miss- 10-15 years ago, going out in the afternoon bow hunting, coming home and temps a crisp 40-50 degrees out and watching playoffs and even WS baseball while eating dinner. Now its still 90 degrees out and just dont "feel the same"

I just think it's poor in general that professional sports are on cable or satellite dish. I grew up watching MNF with Dad, the Twins in the evening with the family, and the NBA and NHL on weekends. Heck, even wrestling was once on the local stations.

Say what you will about sports, but I would rather have my kids watching that than some of the other garbage on TV.

I would have missed the entire Bulls dynasty and most of the T-wolves early games w/o cable, watching the Twins win it all in 87 and 91. I still believe that sports, teams, and certain athletes are a part of your life and without them you lose a little bit of something.

I agree, I can't stand McCarver. He seems to try to make every phrase that comes out of his mouth sound like it is the quote for the ages. I really did like seeing Ted Robinson again. I thought he and Kaat were the best TV team the Twins had. Robinson just seems like he always had a great question to ask Kaat about the game. Kind of like a fan with a mike.

Joe Buck. He is a joke!!! Athlete want to be. If he is on I have no problem changing the channel. I'll never forget his comments about Moss when Randy displayed his pulling down his pants move against the Green Bay Slackers. I was on my back laughing my butt off. Mr Bucks comments about how Moss was being a total jerk. The best part of that whole deal was Moss was doing it as a joke to the GB packers and Buck said he was just a menice to the league. Look who's laughing at you now Joe Buck your nothing but a sports want to be. To small to have ever played anything in his life other then with himself. Just another Joe Morgan or Brett Mustburger. Joe Buck should be prodcasting little league. Sorry to say I still wouldn't watch the (Contact Us Please).

I agree with you Colonel. Joe Buck is an arrogant donkey. He is riding on the coat tails of his old man. Kinda like the Caray's. Although I don't think Chip is as bad as Joe Buck.

Okay I don't understand the Joe Morgan comment. I would agree he's a tad arrogant, but he's a knowledgeable broadcaster & the guy is a hall of fame baseball player. Kind of hard to say he's a wanna be.

I didn't think much of the Joe Buck comments when Moss did that move against GB. I thought it wasn't a wise choice by Randy, but it was still funny & pretty harmless. Buck made it out like he'd pulled a gun & shot a couple of fans.

McCarver's very arrogant & has to always find a way to get back to how great he was playing with the Cardinals...
