Wow this board got quiet since the end of KOTC

I'm going to try and get out tonight granted I can recruit one of my buds to go out with me.

Anybody else having any luck catching Flatheads or Channels? It too nice ouside today to not think about being on the water.

very odd. rising water, super fast current yet a certain creek has barely any water in it. All the water must be coming from somewhere else.

Boated a few channels while organizing some stuff out in the boat for the weekend. One was about 11!

I guess they are still hungry.

Well I haven't been one who caught big cats all summer. But I did get a good start so that next season I'll know were to focus.

I have been getting out enough lately, for cats and mixed species. Fished the Mississippi every day this week (sat-thurs), From red wing to downtown Mpls. Plenty of smallish channels and a mixed bag.

Today I'll rig up for flats and see if they want to play.

We went out last night armed with 4 bullheads (as thats all I had left in my stock)

By 8pm I was out of bullheads from missing some monster runs

Switched to cut bait and caught a log...then called it quits.

Oh well...walleye fishing worthington this weekend so hopefully the flatheads are still biting next weekend as my wife is leaving me home all weekend...yippee...err I mean...whos going to cook me dinner...wait that didn't come out right either...

I'm doing the sturgeon thing next weekend. Would love to tag one of those accidental monster flatties. Other than that, I'll be trying my local lake Zumbro about once a week till ice. The big fish we were on a month ago have moved so that search is on.

I've been out quite a bit in the last few weeks, and the channels have been very cooperative. Nothing over 10# for a while, but some have come pretty close. I'll be on the river until the ice starts cutting my line.

Thanks for the invite, weekends get booked up for me really quick, but almost any weekday will work. I no longer have a river boat, so if you want to take a boat we would need to take yours, or I do know of some good shore spots.

Got out today on the MN river and caught three nice channels in the rain. Saw plenty of shad out and about. I guess I plan to fish it a few more times next week.

Made it out last night for a few hours. Channels were cooperating and for the first couple hours we caught a half dozen fish. Then around 11 p.m. I found this one.

13.8 lbs.

We also had 2 fish come unbuttoned that seemed pretty good. There were no sheepshead caught last night.

I am just finishing up some car work on a 67 GTO and have boat ready to head up to Mille Lacs for the evening bite!

Dtro and Hanson are up on the lake right now! It sure got nice and I am going to locate them on the marine band radio!

Next weekend I will get down catt'in again! Kind of got in a routine that one can not get out of!

I got three nice channels on pool 4 last night before lightning scared us off. I had a 28", 29" and 31"x21" hog that is shown below. Now where was that one when KOTC was going on???
