93X Morning Show

Coach Dog

Recommended Posts

I'm a KQ morning show guy, but I always need to flip over and check in with the guys at 93X and sports w/ Randy Shaver. Those guys are hilarious! Nick, I believe is the one, has some great nicknames for some of the Twins:

Big Pink -Joe Mauer

Lil' Papi -Ramon Ortiz (former Twin)

Justin Porn-o -Justin Morneau

The Big Inflatable Toilet -Metrodome

Anyway, these guys along with Randy Shaver are pretty darn funny.

I have been listening to these guys for the last 10 years it seems. Its great when Shaver is on there, he is the Assman. He was telling a story when he was in Vegas and someone recognized him and called him that, thought that was funny. Also a good time to listen is Wednesday morning they have Mark Peterson from the state Hwy patrol and listening to some of these question calls have you just laugh.

Pier, thanks again for the b-day greeting yesterday!

I just turned 30 yesterday and I listened to 93x about 90% and 92 about 10%. I knew Tommy B and in real life he is a great guy (spends money), but I always thought he was "old school" on the radio.

Can you believe it, I listen to 1500 am now like a freak.

God I feel old!

Long live the AZZ man grin.gif

Anyone remember that intro into his segment that pee him off! They kind of made fun of his cancer. The first thing after intro, was Shaver saying this one has to go. he was not happy!

Listen to the HAMS every morning. The best is the sports and news segments. Also, don't forget that football season is coming and with that is "The Coach" and Friday football picks. Match game #1..... grin.gif

They blow those grumps at KQ out of the water. The only thing that makes the KQ show funny is the sound bites they play, otherwise I think it's getting old but maybe it's aimed more towards grumpy old farts anyway.

Heck yeah!!

Randy knows what I'm talkin' about! grin.gif

We don't like to talk about it. grin.gif

The Coach is the best. Whoever does his impersonation has it down to a T. He also knows his Denny era Vikings very well which makes him even more funny.

Nick is the best of the three. He has some funny stories and always has a joke about anything they're discussing. He also likes to ice fish and has some good stories about that with his friend "Big Al". lol. Like the one where they built an ice house in the garage and then it wouldn't fit out the garage door. I wake up about the time they start their show and the first 20 minutes or so they just talk and talk about what they did the night/weekend before or whatever. That's pretty funny too. They also talk a little more open during that time if you know what I mean.

Anyone follow the "Hot Chick" of the day on their web site? laugh.gif

I used to work with mechanics that would screen saver it every day until management put a stop to visual sexual images in the view of the public or other employees eyes.

Nck does Jesse better than Jesse!

Yeah he does an awesome Jesse Ventura. You guys remember the Dennis Green in MN days? They called him "Fat Dumb" and had an impressionist call in and say they were Denny- might have been Nick, too, I can't remember

Its funny when they have him on there. Whats great is when they do their football picks with him. During the picks he will throw in a match game, wish I could remember some of his matches.

Remmy Maxwell and the old (evening) Nick were subbing for T.D. Mischkey today on 1500 am Noon to 2:00.

Talk about a blast from the past!

They gave away Velvet Revolver Tickets on 1500 am. Cool!

They also were talking about Taun Mastry and her fight with Hepatitis. She sounds pretty bad!

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
