jjohnson5150
I am looking to get a 20' x 16' area poured so we can have a patio & firepit behind our garage. Does anyone have a rough idea on what this would cost? I called Cemstone to see if they could come out to bid, but I wanted to get a ball park idea first. Our preference would be to get the colored & stamped product. Are there any other local contractors I could get to bid?

BRULEDRIFTER
I just priced a similar size (26 x 12) and it was $1850 for removal and also replace. I kept hearing about $5 sq. ft. to replace and $1 or $2 sq ft to remove. Stamping and color would most likely at least double the above number. Bigeye30"
If not triple the costs, stamped and color costs depend on the color of the concrete, generally the lighter the color the less the cost for the concrete, the darker the color the higher the cost, this is due to the cost of the color needed to add. Color and stamped also take more time to prep and pour, added time and costs for sealers etc, in the end they look great and I am designing a walkway, patio and firepit on my mother's lakehome to either pour this fall or next spring. To give a bid over the internet for stamped and colored one would be just plucking a general number from the air. Things like would you need to buggy it? How much removal of dirt or other concrete? What's the soil like? To many factors to shoot a price over the net.
the squirrel
If your looking to have it done yet this fall I know someone that would do it for about $12 a square foot from start to finish.. If you can wait until spring they would do it for about $10 a square as they are much slower that time of the year.. Let me know what your thinking and I would be more than happy to hook you up with a name and number. The Squirrel

rattlereel
Colored and stamped concrete runs anywhere from 6 to 35 dollars a square foot. Make sure when you get an estimate it includes sealing the slab as it will appear dull until it is sealed. Don't chose green or blue for the color just material will be pushing 800 dollars a yard!!! Shack
I would also ask contactor if he is licensed or certified threw state to do stamping. This a fine art and if done incorrectly could look terrible. I would ask for references and check them out. When concrete is poured, that is it! Good luck! Coach Dog
If you want stamped and/ or colored, it is really nice, if done right. If you're willing to pay the cost for colored, make sure you spend the premium labor for a premium product. Spending an extra 400-500 bucks on a $4-5K project, for example, is definitely worth it. Cemstone has qualified contractors listed on their HSOforum and some pretty neat job photos of decorative concrete.
