recommend a handheld GPS

I'm looking to upgrade my current handheld unit. Looking for recommendations for one that either allows chips or transfers waypoints from pc software. I've looked at several websites but cannot choose. Any help would be appreciated.

Yep, the H2O is one of the better choices out there. Takes map chips and lets you transfer info between other gps and/or your pc by using a blank chip.

H2O, H2Oc or ExpeditionC, all iFinder units from Lowrance. Do a roll call on this site and probably find 90% agree.

Love my H2O. I have the Lakemaster Chip 07. Very accurate. Don't know about the H2OC. Bought mine the year before the color came out.

I also like my H2Oc. Eats batteries up pretty fast but I think all the color ones do. I love being able to switch out chips depending on where Im fishing.

Easy to use.

I love my H2O with the Lakemaster chip. But, I wish now I would have purchased the Explorer or Hunt just for the electronic compass. When your trying to vertical jig while slowly moving around you will loose your heading without the compass. You have to walk from the front of the boat to the back to get the H2O to get it's bearings again. Still an awesome unit though.

I was thinking about the H2o as well and someone told me to buy the Hunt or Explorer as the electronic compass is a lot nicer. Do those two models take all the same lake chips ? How does that work ?

I just made the purchase friday of the h2oc w/ '07 chip and spent all weekiend playing with it as well. Can't wait to use it. As time goes on they will add more and more lakes to the chip. I did quite a bit of research and the h2o is the best, especially if you will be using it on the lakes.

just got the H20 a few days ago. So far so good. can't wait to get a chip or two for it. very easy to use
