"I am not the best bass angler out there, hence why you dont see my name at the top of any big tournaments."

deitz, and to all the guys here that share information! we realize that! but many of you , have done more fishing, learned so many of the little things that many of us either don't know about, or never thought of. grin.gif that is one of the great things about this family . ones' opinion,or tips, does two big things. it creates discussion , and usually brings up more questions!all great. it not only makes for good reading, but is helpfull to those of us trying to learn ! del

CB- The article idea on fishing scum frogs. I fish them, but I cant say that I do anything special. Just cast them out and slowly jerk them back.. if I wrote an article on that, it would be quite short. I have a friend who is a master at it however.

Pea Soup lakes also can be hard at times. I too would like to read an article on that. Maybe we can talk Wayne into writting that one.. I know he fishes some pretty nasty stained water.

And live bait fishing bass... I used frogs a few times as a kid.. But that doesnt qualify me to write an article on it.

CB- would you like to write any articles?

Deitz,

How about an article on fishing pressured water? A lot of us on this forum are from the metro area and the bass around here see an awful lot of spinnerbaits and senko worms.

What are some tactics we can use to target fish that most anglers overlook? I'm guessing the a lot of the info. in this type of article could pertain to "deep water" bass fishing too.

I do the majority of my fishing on the same lake in the summer and I often find myself torn between using the same methods day after day and switching it up to try something new. Do I risk not catching anything to try a new lure or pattern or do I stick to my tried and true methods to put a few fish in the boat?

How about a basic standard operating procedure/how to article for fishing with a t-rigged plastic worm or a jig worm/grub. I just can't quite get the hang of it. Don't know if I'm fishing too fast, in the wrong cover, wrong time of year, etc. but I'm just not real productive with those things.

thats not true.. fall before last I was playing hoops, and driving the lane with my slow as a sloth pace as I always do.. tried the ole finger roll.. made it, came down on some dudes foot.. rolled my ankle, so bad that it broke the bottom of my fibula. So, in that case, the little work out hurt like ^#&@%&!%&!!!!

So what articles are you doing? I agree with CB - confidence is HUGE. If you have confidence that bass are there, then magically they appear.

For me weather plays a role in my confidence unless it's a river. On a river I'm at home. cool.gif

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
