Bobby Bass
Boy are we in trouble... the QB of the future is not ready today.
Bobby Bass
10-20 50yds and one INT add 22 yards rushing, yup he sure does make Brad look bad... someone get me a double shot and a beer. Turn up that country song ... Turn out the lights, the party's over....
harvey lee
Brad Johnson would have looked just as good or better tonight. That kid has lots to learn. I believe we need a whole new team just about.
zepman
This team has 0 playmakers---none. We do need a whole new receiving core with some guys who can actually get some separation to let whomever the QB is make a play.

TommyJ33
Looks like you guys got your wish and Brad wasn't to blame for the boring offense after all.Same dink and dunk dump from the offense game planners.
eyepatrol
Brad's been in the league for a heck of a long time and TJ just had his first NFL start. Obviously the Vikes problems go deeper than just the QB position and I think everyone here knows that. But Brad certainly isn't the answer nor the future of the Vikes.I wouldn't be too hard on TJ for his first start. If we want to make some comparisons, lets look at Peyton Manning's rookie season:Wins - 3Losses - 13Stats:Passing G GS Att Comp Pct Yds YPA TD Int QB Rating 16 16 575 326 56.7 3739 6.50 26 28 71.2I don't think TJ will become a Peyton Manning, but even those that grow to be the best have their own trials and tribulations when they first start out. Flaco651
Jackson would have looked a lot better if we had a few guys that could actually catch the ball. The Vikes season was pretty much over before this second loss to Green Bay last night anyways. Jackson needs the experience, it is time to let him play to try to get him ready for next season. The Donk
Quote: Jackson would have looked a lot better if we had a few guys that could actually catch the ball. Wow, truer words have not been spoken. That was the worst attempt to catch a pass by williamson I have ever seen. And another thing, I guess 100million dollars don't buy what they used to, our offensive line just plain sucks. Neither Birk or Hutch deserves to go to the pro bowl, but that is a joke anyways
tims
"Okay, now we all know HOW Horrible Culpepper was and how Brad Johnson is the great white savior of the vikes."okay this season brad johnson has 36 pass plays that have gone for more than 20 yards. 61.4% 9 tds 15 int.in culpeppers last complete season with the vikes he had 63 over 20 yards. 69.2% 39 TDs 11 ints.for god sakes, Rex Grossman even has more pass plays over 20 yards than Johnson on less attempts.anyways, Brad Johnson is old news now, on to the future.Yeah now you and the rest of the brainless Vikings fans are resting their hopes on the next "great BLACK hope"....He is just another Vick- overhyped, never gonna win consistantly. PS your post are completely illogical. Get a clue before you open your fat noise hole.
SledNeck
My hopes arent resting on TJ. I think we need to sign a different (quality) starter (possibly Matt Schaub) for next year and let TJ compete for the job in camp. Whatever happens, happens. Illogical poster.....over and out. tims
The qb position is not our problem, never was. Our line is horrid. It ALL starts at the o-line. Mckiney is a HUGE waste of space as well as a few others, but they are slowly impoving. Mckiney has been worthless for many years now, he needs to go. LoonASea
I might as well throw in My 2 cents,,,I think dicipline is the biggest problem with the vikes,,generaly speaking we have always led in penalties and yards lost from them ,,these are high paid professional players ,,,to make things interesting to the fans I think there should be a 60 second time out after each penalty and the coach goes on the field and CANES the offending player PS the next time I move it will be to a state with NO pro sports team Randoid
tims
The Vikings obviously have problems. One of them was Jackson. They had 3 first downs. That is fewer than ANY Vikings team has ever put up in their forty some year history! Im certainly not going to blame Jackson for all of it, but he was the quarterback. And the way Chris Collinsworth was talking about him it made it sound like he could do no wrong. Complimented his arm strength, speed, accuracy, intellegence, composure, cannon arm and then had the audacity to say "Brad Johnson could have never made that throw". Give me a break, Brad was one of the most accurate QBs of all time. For such a horrid showing Jackson sure got the media's approval as the next big star. The love affair with Tavaris "action" Jackson has officailly begun.
Whoaru99
I was at the game on Sunday. It was quite disappointing from a fan standpoint they came out with nothing and pretty much did nothing the whole game.Even though the offical score was 41-21, it was really 41-7 from a true playing standpoint, IMO.We have a team of players, but few if any play makers. Besides that, the play calling was really BORING.
eyehead
I hear yea Whoaru99, I was at the game too. I would of thought they would of let loose and let jackson air out the ball and show off his arm but wait, they dont have any wr's
