John Boy . . .great fishing!! Wish we were there. Need to get the State to build a direct road to your stompin' grounds. I expect us to get into something like that if we are lucky enough to be at the right spot at the right time.

Z smacked em again on C, 5 other guys out there a little left off LC all with limits. Heading east to fish with ENY Tyler Saturday with Franky and Thunderman hoping the noreaster that there talking about doesn't hit them too bad. If it does C is my only other option this weekend and not a bad option either... Shoreline was a little sloppy but still a good 12" of ice out there. Fish with a partner this time of year and have the ice picks ready.. Goodluck to all this weekend. Tank how's that cold?

The Berkshires and the east facing slopes are going to get some serious snow from the sounds of it which might make it tought out that way Tim. Just have to wait and see what it looks like. We're still planning on hitting Robb's crappie spot for part of the day on Saturday. I have to be back home by about 4pm Saturday so I can't fish for too long plus I like to sleep in at least one day a week cool.gif

Hope Tank and Billy get em good... Jay sounds like the post nasal drip is heading south with that type of tonic grin.gif hope billy will be fishing upwind of Tank grin.gif

Tyler- Jiminy Christmas sounds like 7" here versus the 9 to 13" of snow there is shaping up alot better for us to stay local. Call you later but I'm thinking C right now., it's unfortunate because Frank and I had a real great time down there with you and the boys but it's a long enough haul without the heavy snow/mix that for safety we may stay here. I know Frank will be ripping me on this but there's always next weekend. Let's see what Bud has to say, but there is plenty of fish to be caught here right now with C giving up some sweet catches of late. Call ya tonight

Now it sounds like we will get a foot minimum in the Albany area up to the southern Dacks with two feet possible in the Greens and Berkshires off to our east shocked.gif I gotta make sure I have gas for the snowblower and I might be clearing snow tomorrow instead of fishing crazy.gif

Well I really appreciated that guy running into the back of the trailer!!! No damage to the snowmobile or Tahoe, but the coupling on the trailer needs to be replaced. Also need a left rear light on the trailer. The guy was very apologetic and only lived a quarter mile down the road . . . left everything at his house. Had a "spare" coupler in the garage and will head his way in about an hour to replace and tow back home. Have all week to find a rear light. The first thought I had when I called it in to the police was . . . 2 beer breath and no gum!!! Might head out to the O later after I get the trailer home. BTW BassPro is having a sale until the 25th. Bring a working reel in to donate to a kid's program and get $15 credit toward a new one. Belated Happy Birthday to Wayno!!

Sorry to hear about your accident Frank...

I hit Silver yesterday morning and fished with the Wizard. While waiting for him, I talked to the other three guys going off the same area where I was, and come to find out it was the guys that finished first and second place in this year's TA. They were missing the fourth guy, I guess.

I did Ok....the perch were picky...ended up with 18 keepers 9" and above with 3 at the 11" mark. Caught a lot of throwbacks. No HOGS this time....the Wizard did about 5 keepers. We fished from 7am till noon. We had to walk the plank near shore, but once on the main basin, it was a solid 10" of good ice. 6" of fresh snow made the drag a little tough from the storm. The drive down was terible; a few places on the roads were not even plowed, and it was snowing pretty good at the time. White knuckle time for me!!

That might have been my last time out, but I just looked as the Astro table and Tuesday looks hot. I feel another cold coming on grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
