MNice
"Last winter on our annual fellers only drunken trek to LOTW I threw my buddies cell phone down the hole cuz it wouldn't stop ringing." Just what we need, more stuff in our lakes
genegodawa
Pulled one out of my local lake last yr(for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction)
Eric Wettschreck
I'll guarantee for the pound of stuff (1 cell phone) I've deposited in the lake I've removed 1000 times that amount of some one elses garbage so lighten up.
MNice
My point is, why put more stuff in the lake, no matter what you take out, putting more in does not make it right. Just my 2 cents.
percherman
Jeez!! This was a great humorous thread going and some how it got turned around. Point is, "We All have done something at sometime we may have, or may have not, wished to take back." "We had better make sure Our yard is clean before we yell at our neighbor." Anyone fall off the loading dock or wreck a truck or boat this weekend?
83walleye
On Tuesday evening watched a fat guy at the Rice's Point landing on St Louis Bay stand and watch while his maybe 10-12 year old daughter cranked his 18' Lund/150 Honda up on the trailer, while his son, aged about the same, proceeded to button up his canvas. Tied up the landing for a while - hope you're reading this because you're a lazy pig! Ha!

Fishin4Life
Nothing great this weekend but a few years back this happened. We were riding our bikes around white bear lake in the spring before they put out the shallow water markers. We decided to stop at Matoskin (spell??) park by the bridge (this is on White Bear Lake BTW) and watch the water for a bit. Well this big ol speed boat is flying accross the lake heading right toward the rock bar (which was shallow that year). My dad and another guy say, man I bet he doesn't know that rock bar is there. Sure as Sh*t he hits the rock bar doing about 45. All you hear is a big Crack! the boat stops dead in its tracks and you see the motor fly out of the water and slam back down. Luckly the boat did not suffer major damage as it stayed afloat and the driver stayed with the boat somehow. Scary deal for him I am sure!
stmichael
I was out on Pelican Lake in ORR, and I knew that there was a rock pile about a foot under, and, I honestly thought I was going to miss it, we run this everytime heading out. I was cruising at about 30 mph, and at the last second I saw the floating bouy all busted up under water, no time to respond. There was a goodly amount of spectators, I was one of the lucky ones, nothing was damaged...besides ego, what an awful sound.
SteveWilson
Only one rock pile a foot under That lake is full of them. The guy who owns the resort I go to always mentions that he goes through a number of lower units every year. My GPS has a bunch of skull bones marking the rock piles.
