FM Bass Fishing Event Announcement

I'd like to get in on this, I don't have a big fancy bass boat but my 50 horse gets me from point A to B. I started bass fishing last year and almost all my fishing buddies, I should say my walleye fishing buddies have abandoned me because this is all I want to fish for now, and I'm sure I would pick up a few new techniques being around you guys that know what your doing.

I started fishing club tournaments in a 15 foot aluminum with a 25hp back in the late 80's. No need to have a blaster for this event. It's more about education than it is about 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Well, maybe it's about beating Deitz.

So are the guys that win it going to have to spill their guts about their techniques or are we keeping secrets. I don't think there really are any secrets so i am not a big fan of keeping them i am just wondering if we are getting an education as well. ike

I will definately be sticking around for a little while afterwards and am willing to tell you what my losing technique is. Oh sorry, did I say losing ... I meant winning . I just want to go out and have a good time and that's what it is all about .

Timm's Marina has no problem with us hanging around for a while after the event. If someone want's to organize some grilling (I don't know if Timm's has a grill there), that's cool. I suggest we all bring our own beverage of choice.

I say the top 4 have to disclose how they caught their fish. They don't have to say where, but they have to say how. Otherwise, everyone else gets to give them a purple nurple.

I had propsed this to Ray I think a while back.. I would like the top 3 teams to write up a small paragraph on how they caught them. Not give up spots.. just tell how you found them and how you caught them.

This will be a lot of fun! I am really looking forward to beating Ray.. I mean, fishing this event.

Thought I would just drop a line to see who all was interested in grilling. Do we all just want to bring our own food. Or stick to brats, burgers...which ever. I don't have a portable grill, could we round up a few charcole grills? What do you guys think would work best. I agree with Ray, we all can just bring our beverage of choice.

On a serious note, does anyone know if one might be able to park there if we do not have a boat attached to our Vehical?, and are we paying the 6 dollars for the launch and the park for 1 vehical?

I am into grilling as well.. wifey and kiddies will show to take pictures of us holding up that HUGE trophy with all those sparks and fireworks shooting up on either side of us!... and balloons and confetti falling down from the sky.

Perhaps other kids and family will come to the weigh-in? I assume anyone not in the tourney is welcome to come to see the weigh?

Sorry that it took so long to answer your questions. I was out of town.

1) Does anyone have a charcoal grill they could bring? I don't. But if someone does and is willing to volunteer it, I am for it. And, I don't think Timm's has a problem with it either.

2) There should not be a problem parking rigs or other cars. It's 6 dollars for the launch. Parking is complimentary.

3) We still have 13 boats.

I got email confirmation from Ray last night so we are oficially in the tournament. Didn't think we would be able to fish this tournament but found time to squeeze it in between a family vacation on Gull and bear baiting. Don't read too much into my username I have'nt fished on Forest lake in over a year and won't until Aug. 12. I am looking forward to seeing how every body else does it.
