nofishfisherman
I was always a defender of Radke, yeah he had a poor start but so did Santana, Loshe, Silva, and Baker. Not to mention, most of the rest of the team.I never thought Radke was as bad as Mitty said. According to mitty Radke has been a bum all his career and isn't worth a dime. I was starting to think that Radke might have punched Mitty's dog or something for Mitty to hold such a grudge.I am all for criticisim but it means nothing if you aren't willing to awknowledge when someone is also playing well. nofishfisherman
He's a gamer for sure. He doesn't have the best stuff in baseball but he finds away to win.He is a Bulldog in every sense of the word.
nofishfisherman
Where the heck did Mitty go these days? There is a large plate of crow here just waiting for him. Mmmmm eat up Mitty.
IFallsRon
He's always been a good No. 3 pitcher, unfortunately the team needs him to be No. 1. Rad's been as good a Twin as there ever was. He'll enjoy retirement on Oct. 2.
Jorgie
Way to go BEACHBALLER, 2 earned runs in 7 innings against the best team in baseball, just awful. Why can't you be like Liriano...? Seriously though, why be so hard on Radke? How long as he been with the team, 12 years? You don't often see dedication like that in pro sports today. While he has never put up amazing numbers, he has been dependable and a good influence on a young pitching staff. Last night's performance was exactly what the team needed. Now if Santana can get his act together and Liriano is ok coming of the DL, this team could make some noise. Although I hope the Twins don't push Liriano too much, trading in his potentially amazing career for a few mediocre playoff starts would be franchise suicide. colonel42
He doesn't have the best stuff??? Not to many pitchers in the league can paint corners like he has. I get a kick out of how they talk about him being an old timer. 33 and old. I must be really old. Bert just giggles. Cortisone is a beautiful thing. I was telling my wife the otherday he had pitched a three hitter through 8 innings "heck if he would have had two shots he could have pitched a no hitter." He is a Vet and brings a lot to the Twins not only as a starter but also with experience. Not a huge name player but is always there even if he does give up a few beachballs. Santana tonight "Twinkies rock"
