Best place to buy batteries?

I need two new deep cycle batteries. Where is the best place to buy? What brands do you all recommend. I have always used interstate and been happy with them.

I bought a Trojan deep cycle from Gander Mtn. Best battery Ive ever owned. But I think it was about $100.

I bought 2 trojans batteries last year. I bought them at Batteries plus. I think they cost me $90.00 per unit.

buy them soon, the price is going to sky rocket with the price of lead so high. Thats what I was told today

Sams Club has Interstates for $65 ea. if your a member. I don't rember the amps and stuff but I do remember the amps were on the high end when I checked around. Fleet Farms prices are always pretty good for batters also. From what I can tell, most batterys around here are made by Gould or Interstate. HTB

Has anyone used Exide deep cycle batteries? I believe they used to or still do make the Stowaway.

yep, i brought them back after one sumer go with interstate i have been runing the same 3 deep cycle batteries for 3 years going on 4.what ever battery you go with store them in doors in the winter.

I brought back the exide deep cycles XL they just started losing it after 8-9 cycles interstate's are the ones i have been runing for 4 years now with no problems

Thanks for the info. I just bought two interstates. That is what was in the boat I have. I am guessing they are originals (bought boat used) so that would make them 4 years old.

Where would be a good store to buy the Interstate battery other than Sam's?

Go to the yellow pages and under batteries find Interstate. They should have a Interstate dealer close to you or one will know who carries them by you. A lot of service stations carry them as well.

Also you could go to Interstates HSOforum and do a search for dealer closest to you. They will even give you a map and driving directions to one of their locations on their site. Very helpful info on there as well.

I would have to say batteries plus, also, I have always found their batteries that they sell, to be at a good price.

I think there is a Interstate battery dealer in Coon Rapids, in the River Dale shopping area. Next to Home Depot.

I bought mine at Cabin Fever in Victoria, MN. Prices were in line with anywhere else I looked and Jeff runs a great business there, so I was happy to support a local retailer. I think I paid $79.00 for a 750 MCA Interstate.
