I just got word that a friend of mine probably drown on the big lake today. Two friends on four wheelers went thru the ice, One made it and one did'nt. I hope it isn't true but I got a bad feeling. It just isn't fair sometimes. Let's all hope for the best.

This is a very tricky, scary time of year to be on the ice. I sure hope what you heard and the truth aren't the same. If what you heard is true, my prayers go out to you and your friend.

I'm hoping that what you heard though isn't reality.

Thanks guys for the thoughts. It turns out he did go thru on the wheeler but only in about 4 to 5 fow, I don't know if it was the shock of the water or the intense situation but heart failure sounds like what took him on the way in the chopper. His name is Bruce Skogen and he will be missed by many. He was one heck of an outdoorsman and leaves behind a wife and son, I beleive he was about 50 years old and he lived in Barnesville, Mn. I had a very hard time getting any sleep last night and still don't have all of the details,The other guy with him was a great friend of his and had to make the four hour drive home in Bruces pick-up last night...I bet it was the longest trip of his life.
