ice fishing this weekend!!!!!

Went down to my early ice spot today, there is two inches as of this after noon. I walked out probably 15 feet, and it was uniform the whole way, usually I only fish about 30 yards off shore, so it wont be long now. Looking at the forecast, it shows motley not going above freezing thursday and friday, so hopefully at the latest I will be out on saturday. Cant wait!!

Im guessing one of my little honey holes will have about 5" and the other at least that. Ill be out Friday if I dont go Looper Fishin. Guys have been out several times on 4" up here in the Duluth area.

I'm looking at the shallow bay on Birch Lake near Babbitt where I usually open for ice. Looks like Saturday will be the day there.
