SCHAAKATTACK
Last night I took my QF3 out of hibernation and set it up. I just wanted to make sure that I knew where my stuff was and checked it over. I still had a partial propane tank on my Buddy heater so I fired it up and sat in it for a while. I guess you could say I'm a little antsy this year. It was good to know my gear is ready to go. I was even thinking about how I could add some accessories. I have one of those Frabil half round buckets that I think I can mount to the sled. I will probably buy some of those LED lights at the show. So are you ready? springerspeed
I have been jigging in the portable in the basement for weeks now. I have yet to catch anything and I am having a heck of a time getting the holes drilled. The blade just spins and smokes. I think I need to get that looked at. Am I ready?????? gvg_uwec
Well, the shack has been set up and down in the basement about 50times already this fall and new blades have been put on the auger. Am I ready?, Mentally YES, but my rods need new line and i still need to get a few other loose ends tied up before i hit the ice for the first time, and this cold weather is not helping me keep focused on my classes for the next few weeks. Captain B.R.K
Show me the green light and I'm rollin' Actually just got all my ice gear out of storage and starting to dust it and get the old line of the spools. Organized my tackle this weekend while it rained. Now I just need to replace the spark plug in the auger, pour some gas in it, and I should be ready to roll! hanson
BRK- Can you come over this weekend and get the rest of my "stuff" in order? I'm so far behind this fall, it is not funny. I've got one shack getting a zipper replaced. I've got another one that has a bent pole that needs some attention paid to it. I've got countless projects for my permanent ice shack. Still have to go through the tackle collection, respool line on rods & tip-ups. Got a couple snowmobile related projects that have not happened. Yikes! norteastern
Hanson, sounds like you need some help to get-'er-done. Was just looking at the pond in the backyard, it looks like the top water is getting thicker. Went down there and seen some small ice crystals starting to form. Let's hope some of the snow will start helping it out!!
Bob_D
Not even close....I still have another month of hunting. I need to have plenty of "supplies" for the ice.

Seeker of Clayface
I still hope to make it out to the Pond or Croix one last time with the boat, but I'm getting the itch for hard water as well. The Fish Trap III has been set up in the garage for a week now. Had to sew up a small tear, clean out the tub bottom, set up the 12-volt light system & Buddy Heater for a mock exercise. My wife thinks I'm nuts.

cliffy
Almost!!!!!!! Got the portable out today, fixed a couple of holes, got the heaters working....checked and rechecked my rod/reels. On a sad note, I checked my tackle box and noticed I must have put it away wet last year....95% of my tackle was all rust. Oh well, just another excuse to buy more tackle. Yah!!!!!!!! You can never have enough tackle. I also just came across another post about the LX-3 upgrade tto the true color system....so I am getting that ready to send in. Oh yeah, bring on the ice.......
