So what is everyone thinking now that the playoff's are here, who is going to make it and who won't. I think

ALDS- Boston over Chicago (Sorry Windy), Yanks over Angels.

ALCS- Boston over Yanks.

NLDS- Cards over San Diego, Braves over Astro's.

NLCS- Cards over Braves

and finally the WS- Cards vs Boston... Boston in 7.

Guys,

I'm Shocked that most of you are predicting a White Sox demise!!! Just kidding, actually I was surprised to see that there were some who picked them. Anywho, here goes the totally unbiased picks based on pure baseball stats.

White over Red

Halos over Yanks

Sox over Halos

Cards over Pads

Strohs over Bravos

Cards over Strohs

And of course, the 2005 World Series Champion Chicago White Sox!

Hello Boys,

Thought I would bring this thread back to the top with a recap of the first round predictions. Here are the standings: In a 3 way tie for first with perfect 4-0 records are Myself, Swamprat and Pierbridge although I don't think anybody predicted a Pale Hose sweep except me.

Tied for 2nd place with .500 records are Rundrave and Fisherman and bringing up the "donkey" with records of 1-3 are MNwild and the infamous Mudcutter. Let's see how things shake out in round 2.

Windy-

I think what's shakin' is eddings and the crew knees when it comes to the next close call.

I'd also be shakin If I was a White sox being asked to put down a sac bunt agst the angles bullpen. Shields is like Riveria in 96 when he was the set-up guy to Weteland and F-Rod is like Riveria. The game is over if the Angels are ahead with those 2 guys. With Escobar and Donnelly getting some confidence- it's scary.

Seems that everyone is picking the Sox. Just cant see the Sox as World Champions. I'll take Pettite, Clemens, and Oswalt over the over the Sox staff. They split first two in Chicago, then Houstan takes 2 out 3 at home. Then they come back to Chicago and win game 6.

Houstan in 6.

I think Houston will win in 5 or 6 i just don't think the Sox can score enough runs I beleive the Stros will be able to pitch around the 1 or 2 hot hitters the sox have.

That being said I am rooting for our division rivals.

Go Sox.

I predicted the astros in 6 on another thread- however now that I saw Oswald pitch against a POTENT Card offense- I'm not sure it will go that long. Astros are DANGEROUS, look out sox!!! It was fun for them while it lasted! frown.gif

Looking into my "Krystal" Ball. I see my beloved Pale Hose winning in Houston on Thursday night at around 9:45 pm. Sox will win in 5 games, having only lost a 2-1 game to Mr. Oswalt in the 3rd game of the series on an unearned run. Poor Roy won't even be a factor in a 2nd outing. Sox will hit Pettite for around 4 runs per game and Clemens for around 6-7 runs per game and I smell a Bostonian like blowout (maybe 15-3) against Mr. Backe.

And as usual...YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD....YES!
