Windy City Walleye Hunter
Hello Boys,Thought I would bring this thread back to the top with a recap of the first round predictions. Here are the standings: In a 3 way tie for first with perfect 4-0 records are Myself, Swamprat and Pierbridge although I don't think anybody predicted a Pale Hose sweep except me.Tied for 2nd place with .500 records are Rundrave and Fisherman and bringing up the "donkey" with records of 1-3 are MNwild and the infamous Mudcutter. Let's see how things shake out in round 2.YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES!
genegodawa
If you are speaking of "shake" Windy, that's how the Sox look now - shaky!
Windy City Walleye Hunter
Geno,The only thing shaking now is Josh Paul's mitt!YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES!
Mudcutter
Windy-I think what's shakin' is eddings and the crew knees when it comes to the next close call.I'd also be shakin If I was a White sox being asked to put down a sac bunt agst the angles bullpen. Shields is like Riveria in 96 when he was the set-up guy to Weteland and F-Rod is like Riveria. The game is over if the Angels are ahead with those 2 guys. With Escobar and Donnelly getting some confidence- it's scary.
genegodawa
Windy,I don't want to exagerate, but what is shaking now is about a billion baseball fans shaking their heads how the chUMP could make such a blunder. I know, I know...ye without sin.......
fishpepin
If the Sux continue to get 4 outs per inning, the Angel's are in trouble. Maybe we are seeing a umpire version of 1919 Series replayed before our very eyes only in the ALCS.
PierBridge
Windy Wins the first annual MLB playoff pool even if the Sox lose the World series. Good Job Windy!

mnwild
Now that we know it's the Stro's and the Sox, what is everyone WS prediction, I will take a stab.SOX in
fisherman
Seems that everyone is picking the Sox. Just cant see the Sox as World Champions. I'll take Pettite, Clemens, and Oswalt over the over the Sox staff. They split first two in Chicago, then Houstan takes 2 out 3 at home. Then they come back to Chicago and win game 6. Houstan in 6. buzzsaw
Houston in 6!!! Oh my, it's hidden video of Ozzie Guillen and Jose Contreras... I heard it's how he plans on taking him out of the game after he gives up six earned runs in an inning.
IFallsRon
Houston, how ever long it takes ... and you can put that on the board.
PierBridge
I think Houston will win in 5 or 6 i just don't think the Sox can score enough runs I beleive the Stros will be able to pitch around the 1 or 2 hot hitters the sox have. That being said I am rooting for our division rivals.Go Sox. Swamprat72
I think the Sox will pull it out just because of the lack of run support the Astros gave their pitchers in the regular season. That being said, still a close series Sox in 7.
porterhouse
I like Houston in 6. Plus I would like to see the G-Man get1 more ring. Should be a great series!!!!!!!! Brian
soldoncass
I predicted the astros in 6 on another thread- however now that I saw Oswald pitch against a POTENT Card offense- I'm not sure it will go that long. Astros are DANGEROUS, look out sox!!! It was fun for them while it lasted!
Windy City Walleye Hunter
Looking into my "Krystal" Ball. I see my beloved Pale Hose winning in Houston on Thursday night at around 9:45 pm. Sox will win in 5 games, having only lost a 2-1 game to Mr. Oswalt in the 3rd game of the series on an unearned run. Poor Roy won't even be a factor in a 2nd outing. Sox will hit Pettite for around 4 runs per game and Clemens for around 6-7 runs per game and I smell a Bostonian like blowout (maybe 15-3) against Mr. Backe. And as usual...YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD....YES!
