Boy oh boy,

The Sox are in trouble now, The Big Hurt tweaked a muscle and is out for a game, what will the Sox do? NOTHING BUT TURN TO JERMAINE DYE FOR THE WALK OFF HOMER TO BEAT ANOTHER FIRST PLACE TEAM! How did the Twinks do against the lowly Injuns, in the baggie-dome? Ouch, another Twinkie defeat. 5 games out and sinking like a stone.

YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES!

Windy maybe it is me but you really seem serious about all of this.

Talk the talk but then walk the walk. Right now you aren't really in a position to walk the walk on just a month of good play. I looked it up and over the last bunch of games they are actually playing .500 ball. They will probably play .500 ball the rest of the season which will put them second in the division to the Twins like always, and no post season.

I will enjoy the race between the 2 teams though which always turns out pretty good most of the way through the season.

The only thing is Twins fans dont have to talk the talk they just walk it and have fun doing it.

You would figure that the team with the highest payroll in the AL central would certainly spend part of the season in first place. Money win$ championships not heart. Just think of what the Twins could do with the extra $20 million that the sox have.

Nuff said about what!!! ... Win a freakin' division for a change, then maybe we will give you a little more respect. All this pale hose pre-mature hulla-baloo is making me sick!

Last time I checked Sux have'nt won a Div. since 2000, 1959 for a penant, 1917 for all the marbles. Keep dreamin'.

Congrats on being 5 games up. If I am not mistaken the Twinks were 5 back at the break last year and finished up by 7 or so.

Lets compare the teams history

Twins have....

-3 consecutive division titles

-2 World Championships in the last 17 years

-Reigning Cy Young winner

-have never had players throw a game, much less a World Series

-Have never taken the field in shorts

-have never had to forfeit a game because of their fans (Disco Demolition Night)

-Have never had their fans attack an umpire

well, that is all I got off the top of my head. If you are still up after 162 games that will be, 'nuff said. I say lets wait and see if these Sox are actually any different than recent teams.

Hey Pig Stika,

You say that the Sox aren't in position to say anything only having had 1 month of good play? The season is a third over, it has been two months since the season started and the Sox have never been out of first place. I think you need to recheck your math, but I suppose there is not much teachin "rithmatic" up there in the sticks. Just pickin' and grinnin' while your funny looking brother plays "Dueling Banjos" with the feller in the canoe. You seem to like to pigs, can you say "Squeel Like a Pig. Looks like we got us a sow here!" That's what my beloved Pale Hose are going to do all year to your Twinks, make em squeel like a pig.

YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD....YES!

Check the stats since the end of April, yes they are playing .500 ball.

Pig sticka is a name for an ice fishing rod. Never misses a pig ice fishing.

I have just finished college levels of algebra, trig and calc so yea my rithmatic is probably alittle slow smirk.gif

The Sox will still be there at the end of the year. I think they are for real this year their not going to choke like last year. People can say what they want about the Twins, they won 3 consecutive division title's big deal look at the division they are in, even the Devil Rays could win this division its so bad. When you play teams like the Tigers,Royals and Indians what 14 times a year of course your going to have a winning record. Put the Twins in any other division with QUALITY teams and I guarantee they would not win back to back to back title's. The Twins will be lucky to win the wild card, thats their only hope. I know I will get dump for this post but I am telling it how it is...

Well in that case, I guess it's better to be the best of the worst than the 2nd best of the worst. grin.gif

My only questions are if our division's so bad anyone could win it, why didn't the Sux win it any of the last three years?

If even the Devil Rays could have won our division during those years, why did the Twins win the season series against them all three times?

I'm not positive on this, but I believe the Twins won the season series with the Red Sox last year, who were the world champs. I know they won it against all of our division opponents, including the White Sux. If the Yankees didn't for some reason have our number the last 2-3 years, we very easily could have had the best record in the AL. We've played all of the other good teams in the league very tough the last few years, look at the numbers.

Hey Vikings Freak,

How long has it been since the Vikings have won a Super Bowl?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, that's right. They HAVEN'T!!!

Ouch! Wow commanche Joe, you really dug deep for that one. Thats fine, you guys can keep thinking of the gold ole days of the "Super Bowl Shuffle". Let's just hope for your sake, da bears can win as many games this upcoming season, as the Twinks division title streak(which will be 4). wink.gif

If you guys thought Backerup was unarmed, wait till you get to know Commanche - another Sox dreamer like Windy, only more serious/less humorous. Gonna be more fodder for

you Twin fans IF he can stand the heat in the kitchen.

Hey, be careful with that "FIB" stuff now. We aren't all bad, some are just worse than others.
