Captain B.R.K
For those guys that can make it, this should be a good one to attend. Fishing River Walleyes is a bit different than lake fishing and Ed should be great to listen too.
Matt Johnson
Now this is seminar that I'd love to make!! Only problem is I'd be coming from Mankato on that Thursday and things aren't looking up Ed knows fishing! And Ed knows fishing very well! You want a guy with a lot of experience in the fishing world then you've come to the right place when attending Ed's seminar. We've all read Ed's posts and soaked up the info, and I know I've gained an incredible amount of knowledge from them. I would highly reccommend this seminar if you're looking at learning a lot about river walleyes. The catfish seminar on April 7th is another one to mark on the calender as well. It's funny that Dennis started this topic, because rumor has it Dennis will be giving a seminar on Minnesota River Walleyes in the near future as well Keep your eyes open... Two top-notch river anglers with a lot to offer! Good Fishin, Matt Johnson

Ed Carlson
You can check on events scheduled at all Gander Mountain locations at the GM web site. Just select the state and store location and posted events should pop up. Lots of great seminars and regional forums at many locations, sure wish I could get to them all.The FM River Keepers will also be hosting meetings and public informational seminars at the Fargo Gander Mountain lodge. This should prove to be highly informative to the public as well as the conservation minded sportsman of the region. Some very good folks in the River Keepers ranks. The River Keepers also offer canoe classes and rentals on the Red. I believe this program may be expanded further in 2005. The FM River Keepers organization has proved to be a great asset for the public on many fronts.I hope this is of help.

buzbunni
Did someone mention Catfish seminar!?I'm in on that, drive or not. I be needin' some help in this area.
Ed Carlson
Buzbunny pop over and check it out on 04/07/2005 and with a bit of luck I might have something worth hearing. Even if I do not the walleye just may be starting to run about then on some spots very close to here. I caught 5 over #10 in the first week of April last spring on a certain trib of the Red less then 10 miles from where the GM seminar is held. The spring walleye bite all depends on how early the ice starts to move, and where.
Ed Carlson
As part of the chat on spring walleye, I will be highlighting New & Kewl stuff that I feel will up your odds on walleye. I am very pleased to announce that Scenic Tackle will be one of the items showcased at this event. I am also pleased to announce that Scenic Tackle will be soon coming to the Gander Mountain stores near you. Look for them on the shelves in 2005.Among the other nifty new items will be the NightRanger tackle box system. This box has it's own LED lighting and makes for a super walleye and catfishing box. Well worth a look.Other hot new picks will include Frabill nets, Hot New Salmo cranks, Power Pro line options, Gamma Tech "Frog Hair" leader systems...and a few others Top Secret items. I look for items that I feel have the highest quality and offer the best bang for the buck. If I would not use them I would not waist your time and mine talking about them. With luck, some of these showcased items will be just what you need to up your odds in the field this season.I hope for and appreciate lots of audience participation in these events. I am very fluid if the format so together we can cover the topics your most interested in. It should be fun and I hope to see you there. Thanks,
buzbunni
See, now that's a great idea. I'm thinking the FishinLogician may just be up for that trip as well. Education in the classroom, and then try it on the water.Saweet!
Scenic
This would be a great seminar for anyone that can to do so. The open water season for most of us is around the corner. This seminar would be a great time to pick up some tips and check out some new products. Ed is a great multi specie fisherman and Gander Mountain chose a great person to do this seminar. Ed Carlson
Thanks to everyone who attended the seminar tonight. The turn out was better then I hoped. Your questions were right on the mark and kept me on my toes. I always appreciate a lot of participation from the folks who come to these events.I always think of other stuff I should have covered afterwards as the time flies by so quickly. I hope I did a fair job of getting the tips across to you all and they prove to be helpful for you this season. Lots of nifty new stuff to try this season.I hope to see some of you again next month at the Catfish seminar. With luck, my little teaser on Red River Cats tonight stirred your interest sufficiently so you wish to check it out on the 7th of April.See ya then or sooner if the rivers start to flow.It was fun, and thanks again for attending tonight.Good luck this spring. Scoot
It was a great showing! I showed up a little late and had to stand in the overflow area of the presentation room. Over 40 people in there when I showed up. Several people showed up after me and left when they realized that they couldn't get close enough to the room to even see Ed.I talked to several guys I knew there and all said that they were impressed with the talk. Tons of good info and tips. Ed did a nice job of presenting the big picture info as well as dropping a bunch of little tidbits and tips along the way.Nice job Ed!
