Sifty
I,m Going with the 18 car. I read once that if there where not plates on this car that Bobby would never lose a race.Lets heard what you think. What about Front Row Joe?SiftyP.S. For you Jr. fans we will take it that he is not a dark horse.
lawdog
Since you aren't letting them pick Jr. they'll all say Truex! Darkhorse...hmmmmmmm Jamie McMurray.
Curly
Truex!! Go #8!!
JohnMickish
Would picking Martin count as a dark horse? How about Sterling? I think one of those two has as good a shot at anybody. Don't forget about Boris thou, remember how he ran in last years Bud Shootout? He is going to be my offician dark horse.

Ray Esboldt
Please tell me that someone else threatens to never watch NASCAR again when DE Jr. wins. I swear if he wins the title this year, I'm watching European racing only.I'll go with Elliot Sadler. I'll still be pulling for Dale Jarret and Mark Martin. JohnMickish
I'm right there with you Ray, I mean here is a guy that got famous because of who his daddy was and the media made him a god. I'm not saying he dosen't have talent, but he is far from the best. I guess that will just free up more fishing time....
Cyberfish
I am rooting for Mark Martin, but my dark horse pick is Kevin Harvick. He didn't win any races last year, but he always seems to be near the front at the end of the plate races only to get passed up on the last few laps. lawdog
Quote:Is Terry running Daytona this year? I don't believe he is. Only ten races each of the next two years and I'm fairly certain there were no plate tracks in that schedule.

FISHINJAY
I have to make a run to Mooresville NC. next week to pick up 2 Busch cars from Roush Racing for there driver development program.. I am going to try and get some scoop ..Dale jr. is always a threat on a plate track but Mark Martin is going for it this year he really wants a championship before he pulls the plug.. JohnMickish
What are you going to do with those cars, fishinjay? No, Terry Labonte will NOT be at any plate track this year.
FISHINJAY
I am bringing them to illinois to roulo bros racing .they have a driver development contact with roush racing for a couple young drivers ..they will run 6 arca races and a couple busch races this season . It is my slow season for my regular job so i drive the transpoter, no pay just expenses but its fun to be around all the race stuff and i get to meet and b.s. with alot of the big shots. .. FISHINJAY
mooresville is a cool place almost all of the cup garages are there and there is a guy from chicago whos name is kyle harvey who worked on Dick trickles team and when that went away he opened a chicago style hotdog stand..last time i picked a car up there i was having lunch and within 30 minutes Rusty Wallace, Ryan Newman , Buddy Baker and Bobby Allison all stopped for hot dogs .. Ryan Newman was all decked out in Ranger Boat Wear ...

sheepheadslayer
Come on guys give him a chance. He races more races in a year than any of the rest of them yet he still can't get er done. One of these days we will see it......
lawdog
Kenny's a great guy and a real racer's racer. He just doesn't have the team to win anymore. You are right too, the dude drives anything on wheels anytime he can get a race. About three years ago now he showed up at a dirt track out in South Dakota to race his dirt car. Last year he raced right here in MN at Deer Creak. Kenny is OK by me!
Cyberfish
That might be the problem, mabye he spreads himself too thin, no doubt about it, he loves to race. Lawdog has a good point too about his team, too bad. you would think now that he has a full time sponsor they could kick it up a few notches, mabye they don't have the $$ I wish they could put Ken in the 8 car for Daytona to see what he could do
