2024 gardens

last week recieved the Jungs garden catalog.

 

yesterday meandering through FF in waite park, they were setting up the garden seed display.  there aint even enough ice on most lakes yet!!!

It's call forced marketing. You better worry more about that Valentines stuff their setting up first!

 well, they aint making a dime off me with that stuff!!!!!  i may take my bride out to eat for valentines.....if she behaves!!!!!!  and most certainly wont be the day of!!!!

I told my wife just today how nice the neighbors grass across the street is greening up nicely!

My brother wants to know if my garden is ready. with about 8 inches of snow on top.

Not from my garden but went on a quick ride and found some:

just picked some of them myself today!!!  my winter onions are going to town. watered the garden a bit ago, onions spinach, radishes and kalarabi are all reaching for the sky!!!!!

Onions got pulled today.

Cut down an Ash this year, probably 3 more next year.

Left the stump cause I figure I'll have all of em grinded down at once.

Wife is like "Can you make me garden or something around it?"

Turned out pretty good.

Ash borer get them?

 

A lot of the ash trees in the 'hood look like total dog schitt and need to be cut down.  Barely any leaves up top but some of them have filled in with water sprouts about halfway up. I'm guessing it's ash borer, but I don't know.

 

I have two ash trees and they seem fine.  I also get them treated every 2 years.
