Bernie Keefe
I believe my outerwear grows good juju (My wife thinks other things grow on them) So I do not like to wash my suit or any other outerwear while I am on a great bite. Eric Wettschreck
I won't catch fish unless I'm wearing my fleece camo ear flappy hat. And, fish don't bite if county music is on the radio, only classic rock.
pushbutton
NEVER scoop out the extra line holes until after there are fish coming up the other hole/s.
Garett Svir1582813971
No bananas allowed while fishing, that's summer or winter.
ZachD
I have kept the same 2 green demon glow jigs on my dead sticks for about 5 years now and refuse to use different ones for dead sticking even if the hot bite color is pink or gold or whatever... I have to drill my own holes otherwise I think the spot I am fishing is terrible and don't even want to be fishing anymore.
Scott O.
I wear the same shirt and long sleeve shirt under my hoodie and Ice Armor suit. I used to wear the same hoodie too, but got a new Ice Team one this year which seems to be luckier than my old Cabela's one. I've caught more fish this year than the last couple so the Ice Team one is staying with me.

Craig Oyler
Not necessarily a superstition, but Karma. I try to pick up other peoples trash that I see left on the ice, hoping that the lake will reward me for it. A few weeks ago, I drove past a couple pop bottles that were left on the ice, with the intentions on picking them up on my way back to the landing. Well, the fishing sucked so I went over and picked them up when I was bored, and low and behold the fish started biting shortly thereafter. Even if the fishing doesn't pick up, I'm still happy that I did it.

ski_otter
If the fish are there and aren't biting distract yourself. Open a beer, light a cigar, have someone call your phone. Often these seem to cause fish to start biting.

Matt Breuer
Never understood the bananas thing... I pack a banana for lunch on nearly every summer guide trip. Only superstition in fishing really, is to never leave home without TP.
Lawrence Luoma
Always fill the live-well before fishing. With ice fishing that means adding water to the fish bucket.

MuskieJunkie
Never understood the bananas thing... It's an old maritime superstition, it comes from when bananas were shipped to the US by boat and the crew would sleep on the banana boxes, some died from lethal spider bites (turanculas I think). Funny story about that, a guide in FL spotted my banana boat sun block and stopped me cold, made me leave it in the truck. I did and had a great day fishing. The next day same guide, I put the sunblock on my skin before he saw me and left the bottle in the truck. Didn't catch a dang thing that day. I am not a superstitious person
Matt Breuer
I know the history of the banana superstition, but I've never understood why people take it to heart. I like bananas, and I like catching fish. I will continue to have bananas in the lunch pail...
