JohnMickish
I just ordered a Clam Legend one man house, who else is getting a new one man this year? The reasons I went with the Legend are in no particular order Very comfortable seat. I like being able to move it around. My back tends to get stiff if I sit for long periods of time and I've had these seats before, I like them and they help my back. Thermal, that speaks for itself Lots of room with the tub sitting sideways. I really like to spread my stuff out and not be cramped. The RPSX pole pieces mean it's easy to take down at the end of the day and no more pinched fingers. Lots of great features including that new light bar. I'm really looking forward to trying that out. What are you getting?
Eric_Kruger
I can't decide between the legend thermal and the x1, but I will have one or the other this fall yet!
JohnMickish
I went round and round with that too, but it eventually came down to price. I would have preferred the X1 with it being even bigger (it only weighs 7 more pounds too!) but a guy and only spend what he can spend. bobbymalone
I got tired of monkeying around with 1 man sleds, so I picked up the smallest cube eskimo makes for my solo trips. bought it just after ice out last year.
dan z
I got a JM 1 man pro last year after ice out. I hope I like the minnow bucket and battery tray that came with it. The full thermal and ratchet seat will be nice too.

Brad B
I ordered the Legend Thermal. I went with this because of the greater head room it offers over the X1. I like the heavier duty sled of the X1 and it's gray interior and the heavier thermal shell and the larger poles but I will give that up for the added head room of the Legend. I will also be running the new Scout EXP one man house on the warmer days when I don't need the full thermal.
Lawrence Luoma
For me I'm staying with the Scout. Still can't beat the lightest shelter for guys like me who stay on the move. All the features of the others are nice but heck if I would get to comfortable I may never move to a new spot, lol.
Chad Peterson
John, Both are very nice one man houses and you won't be disappointed. Personally,I had a hard time picking one, but I had to go with the X1.
Tony Mariotti
I went with the scout exp: I've never wanted a one man before, but after watching the neat set ups for hauling a one man with the wheeler, I had to finally break down and see what all the fuss is about :-) I really don't know how you can go wrong with any of the houses! MN BassFisher
I just picked up my first two man (always drove a car before) this winter and now I'm already eyeing up my next purchase - a nice 1 man!
RawHog
I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on a new Otter Pro lodge or cabin. Anyone gotten a chance to see these new models yet? Likes? dislikes?
Northlander
I have seen them and they are awesome. You wont be disapointed. That 1200 series is going to be one HOT house.
swmndeerhunter
I'm debating if I want to upgrade to the lodge or resort from my current non insulated predator. The new otters look sweet but wouldn't be cheap to upgrade and get all the accessories
Brad B
I'm debating if I want to upgrade to the lodge or resort from my current non insulated predator. The new otters look sweet but wouldn't be cheap to upgrade and get all the accessories have you considered just keeping the predator and ordering a full thermal skin for that from frabil. it would be cheaper unless money was not a issue. TruthWalleyes
My 1 man is either the xl4000t or qf3
Mid-Lake Rock
Agree with Lawrence. Light weight, easy to pull through snow during early ice, no problem loading into the truck. I also put it on the rear rack of the wheeler on big bodies of water. If you like to move around, this is the house. For me I'm staying with the Scout. Still can't beat the lightest shelter for guys like me who stay on the move. All the features of the others are nice but heck if I would get to comfortable I may never move to a new spot, lol. swmndeerhunter
have you considered just keeping the predator and ordering a full thermal skin for that from frabil. it would be cheaper unless money was not a issue. I looked into doing that each of the past two years, but the cost for the new shell was way too high in my opinion. If I remember correctly they wanted $370 plus $50 in shipping, plus tax a few years ago and it got bumped up again last year to right around $400. Plus the Otter’s have more room inside. Just going to use the frabill till it runs its course or until Otter comes out with the cross link seating in the Resort like all the other models.
