what is your favorite time of year to fish

this is a really hard question for me i like summer when the weather is absolutly perfect but i think i really enjoy the late ice season when everything start to turn toward spring fish move shallow sight fishing is in full swing the sun is getting higher in the sky and you actually start getting a sun tan and i can actually fish for fun

Currently, my fav time is April to June. Not to hot and not to cold. My whole fam can go. I don't have a wheel house so my daughter stays home during ice season.

I absolutely love fishing small mouths in october and november. There is almost no boat traffic and if you can find a school of them its game on! Oh and did I mention the real bigguns come out in the fall...

for me it depends on what I am fishing for :

Crappies : ice season unless I get into them fishing bluegills during the summer.

Bluegills : year round

Walleyes : summer time on mille lacs. would like to ice some this ice season.

Northerns : mainly only tip up fish them but will get some throwing spinner baits when bass fishing in the summer.

Channel Catfish : all ice season to end of August.

Ice fishing for me. Early ice in the portable, then January and February in the wheel house, and usually a late winter trip to LOTW.

I enjoy spring/summer/fall fishing...but I love ice fishing.

Early ice (first week or so) is my favorite to find big eyes, after that I love late ice for crappies and gills. Next is ice out on the rainy river for sturgeon, and then it's the fall bite as the water temps cool and you can start to catch crappies and eyes in the shallows.

Fall Sturgeon is my favorite time. Good cool weather. Long weekend camped out of the boat...and big rods - bent over!!
