Well, as I posted in the hummingbirds thread (and now hereby update) still hummers in Rochester and robins too.   The hummers were at the feeder this morning and three or 4 robins on the lawn.  Also had chickadees, nuthatches and a few various finches at the seed feeder.

My gold finches have started to thin out. Looks like mostly young ones hanging around. They’ve also switched from nyjer to sunflower chips as their preferred food.

The grackles and blackbirds left after I proofed all my feeders. But they haven’t even been in the neighborhood. Are they quick to fly south?

I've gone thru more nijer seed in the last month than I have used total in the last month. Not even sure whats hitting it. I had a bad summer with all the back problems I had so didn't get to watch the feeder as much as I have in the past. Hummers were non existent at my feeder this year, only saw a couple all summer. Safflower tube style feeder is going empty in about 3 days now.

my feeders are getting hit a little heavier also, i think its migrating birds. i love it when the juncos come thru, there all over the place.

i still havent seen any robins, have a few morning doves around. took the hummingbird feeders down last nite. havent seen then in a week.

I still see lots of migrating robins in pretty big groups, at least up to a day or so ago. Morning doves are plentiful, lots of what appears to be young ones as they are pretty small. Not many juncos,, I like watching them too.

Red breasted nuthatch. Had one in my yard for the first time a couple weeks ago. Only seen him that one day. Maybe that’s him!

I thought that was what it was.   Thanks for the ID.
