I eat a lot of sandwichs at work so get tired of them.  Making smoked meat is great for them.  I used to like that jellied beef sandwich meat for a change.  Expensive though.  I haven't seen it for  years.  Seems I heard 10 years or more ago why they quit making it but can't remember why.

They used to sell head cheese at the deli end of the meat counter too.  I remember the beef stuff too.

Looked at the fine print at the web page.  They show a box but it says "comes in 9 oz bags".   Tricky they are.

OMG...Quisp.  I've told my kids about this cereal.  It has become a legend around our house.  I remember the Mickey snack cake banana flips after school every day.  The Sunrise Bakery in town here makes them.  They are about twice the size of the Mickey ones and are to die for!!  I bring my brother-in-law two packs (2 per pack) down to Lakeville when we visit.  One other item is Dutch Loaf.  I believe it is the same/similar to Old Fashioned Loaf.  We always had this with Swiss cheese and fresh Italian bread in the duck blind when I was a kid.  Wrazidlo's in Duluth makes one, but the one I had was sweeter in taste.  No one here carries it anymore.  I asked. I got laughed out of the store.

I should really complain that since beverages are really not food but drink they should be included in a another thread. However, that's up to our fearless leader. ;)

Ever the conformist, I am clearly not a free spirit and do not march to the beat of a different drummer. Clearly Canadian stopped selling flavored water back around 2000 or so. However, we still have several of the glass bottles as they are the perfect size and durability for feeding bottle lambs milk replacer. And since I tirelessly avoid being sexist as evidenced by my posting history, the politically correct term for the nipples we affix to the bottles is "Pritchard teats". :D

Good to know Bobby. Our bottle supply has suffered from clumsiness and ineptitude over the years. I figured when the bottles were gone we'd have to sell the sheep. Not a bad idea! B) There was a move afoot to bring Clearly Canadian back. However, I'd venture the chances we'll see it again in Bugtussle anytime soon are slim to none if they succeeded.

About as much of a chance as Del delivering my peas and pearl onions. Oh, and Dotch, at one time, beverages were most certainly part of the three food groups... beer, whiskey, and burritos.

yep the beverage stuff should probably be in the derail thread I started.

I think Clearly Canadian lost it's marketing edge when "Canadian" became a bigoted slang word in urban communities.

As long as we're taking "food" generally I will say that when they quit selling the real Sudafed (psedophedrine HCL) from off the shelves and replaced it with psedophedrine phenlyalinine my runny noses didn't improve.  Once I learned it was for meth reasons and you could get it behind the counter problem solved.  You have to show your DL, birth cert, passport, and Carry permit to get it but you can.  I just started taking it today because besides my fever, muscle aches, injured prostate, and now severe joint pain I now picked up a head cold probably from going to the Doctors office where they made me wear a mask.  I should have gone to the chiropractor.

Well, there ya go, Del. All set to 'wave. In butter. With seasoning. With onions. Boy, I have to do everything myself. :tired:

Long ways from burre  blanc, or even "light butter sauce".  But, for a rice-a-roni eater, that probably will pass.
