leechlake
When you go to the nearest movie theater and the inside looks different than the last time you were there and you ask your son when they remodeled it and he says "it's always been this way" that tells you how long it's been since you went to a movie. We went to the super radar/sonar/nearly 3D theater and it even had 500 speaker hi-fi. Electric reclining seats. No massage but ya can't have it all. Batman vs Superman. I always preferred Batman myself, seemed something a mere mortal like me could actually do. No offense to Superman but being able to fly seems unreasonable to me. Anyway, great movie and great "experience" if I can call it that. Bonus that Amy Adams played Lois Lane and cover your eyes if you don't want to know but.....Wonder Woman makes an appearance at some point! Ohhhhh baby!!! I always loved Wonder Woman and sometimes I tell my wife she kind of looks like her...that one always works or works better than my other lines. So if the wife gives you a choice of watching House Hunters International re-runs or going to a movie I'd pick this movie. It even picks on Democratic Senators in it and the blather mouth "experts" that you see on the news shows most nights. Marketing genius to a wanna be redneck like me. SkunkedAgain
Was half of the movie a bunch of CGI fight scenes like the last Superman? I liked the first half that had a plot, couldn't stand the 30 minute fight scene to end it.

leechlake
well we went on a Tuesday afternoon and I think it was $5 a ticket. Movie theaters take credit cards now too so you can expense it. Maybe if you go to a movie you'd get something more accomplished than the normal day of ruining the day of the risk takers that own the business the shovel leaners are working for Edited April 7, 2016 by leechlake smurfy

leech~~
Have not seen the movie but have a question. Why are two good super hero's going against each other? Is one the bad guy in this movie? This could have long lasting negative affects on some comic book nerds! smurfy

reinhard1
That's the part that I don't get. Why get two good guy's to battle each other. I could see it in proffessional wrestling but not with two characters you grew up admiring. I heard bad reviews on TV on it but that doesn't mean anything to me. They look at movies different that the average person. I haven't gone to a movie theater in years. I'll watch it when it comes on TV. good luck. leechlake
I also wondered that but it works. I hadn't seen a Superman or Batman movie for 20 years. One thing all humans have brings them together. reinhard1

leechlake
Ok, here goes. Don't read this if you don't want to know. Superman's public image gets tarnished by Democrat Senators. SM saves Lois Lane a few times and there is some collateral damage so the Dem Senator starts questioning that SM thinks he's God. It's awesome because on this topic they show new clips from night time news shows with the usual suspect "experts" weighing in on SM, it's kind of funny. Batman starts buying this stuff and it doesn't help when one of SM's actions killed some employees of Wayne Industries. Anyway BM goes after SM and after fighting for a while they realize they are on the same team and join forces with Wonder Woman to kill a creature Lex Luther put before them. I thought the creature was supposed to be the devil, he was a bad a$$. At the end of the movie SM is exonerated but something else happens and I will leave that out. JP Z
Basically Batman is concerned since Superman could destroy the entire world if he wanted to, and well Batman doesn't trust anyone.... leechlake
bobbymalone
I'm not really into comic book stuff and I probably won't see this movie until it's played on TV during a rain delay of a baseball game, but I'm confused by the concept. Sure seems like superman could just toss batman into the sun and the movie is over in 12 minutes. I'm sure there is a lame plot around the obvious imbalance in super powers, but still. The whole concept just sounds like weak sauce. I'm sure CGI superhero fights will pile up the cash from the fanboys and 13 year olds though. LindellProStaf
Since VCR's came out I hadn't gone to a movie theater since Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte in 48 hours. Saw it on a date in St. Cloud. lol I was kind of proud of how many years it had been too. Well when I got remarried about 8 years ago the manager of the theater here got 310 to Yuma since I like westerns. Of course he gave us free passes as part of our wedding present. I didn't want to hurt his feelings to keep up my streak so we went. He was happy that he broke up my streak too. I do like a movie in a theater but there is no place like home. The popcorn is cheaper too, I can't afford it neither Smurfy. smurfy

leechlake
Tuesday not Wednesday. I'd assume Tuesday's are a light movie day. I'm one of those employers that pays the matching 7.65% of your FICA and Medicare, double that amount for myself. "Big Business". Many times you hear that small business is the backbone of the economy so once a year we get a Tuesday afternoon to take our kid to a movie for $5. You're like my wife, "you went to a movie on a Tuesday?" Yep. 4 times I had to go outside of the theater and make or take a phone call too. It was a blast.
