Popular Post Sturg
Yesterday morning I visited two spots where I saw Barred owls last year. I saw owls at both spots. The first owl I saw wasn't in a cooperative mood and I was unable to approach close enough for a picture. It was in the same small woodlot where a pair nested last year. I decided to go try the second spot a couple miles away. I was delighted to see one at the second spot and was fortunate to see it in the morning sunlight. I took a couple of pictures and decided to try for a better angle. After moving to my right, I pulled the camera up and I was delighted to see another owl in the same tree a short distance from the first. I'm guessing they are a pair. I moved again and found an angle where I could get both of them in frame. To top it off, I a got a picture of a Red-tailed hawk pitching out of a tree on the way back to my car. Another great morning to be out and about enjoying wildlife! Jim Almquist, leech~~, DonBo and 6 others
