Good Morning!

Recommended Posts

Good point LL on being sick, until I started receiving the flu shot, I usually got influenza every other year, but that's for the other thread.  As always good morning so to speak fellas.  I got home a little while ago and tried to talk to you guys but the dang dog kept bringing my shoes to me. Try telling him it's not fun outside, no park run today. He has a lot of pointing lab in his lines,  usually pointing at something.  You think I could get him to point out a bird last fall? Naw, I'll just chase him, lol. So anyhow he knows the "whoa " command but it's been a little bit since it was used. After a little quick session in the house we headed to the garage. Make a long story short he was locking up every time I said whoa. Brought out some wings , gave him the command and he just stared at em in the crouch position until I said "ok", and just attacked them...dang that's fun. Sure beats beating my yard up playing fetch...

Good morning all, it's 3am and I'm awake on my day off, I forgot to change the alarm. Today is the day that I'm getting 28 teeth extracted :( and getting new white falsies :D. I went and got a supply of pudding, yogurt, instant taters and Mac and cheese for the next couple of days. But I do have a 8 pound pork butt and three rack of ribs in the freezer for when I can enjoy food again.

Right now I have a pretty good headache because I haven't had any caffeine or nicotine for 24 hours before the operation. That's been pretty tough for a smoker who owns a coffee shop. You never realize how dependent you are    on those chemicals until you can't have them.

All have a good day, and maybe I'll come up with a new and exciting recipie after they put the needle in my arm and put me to sleep for an hour or two this morning.

Man Coffe have a good one.  I feel for ya.  And LL good that you are back on your feet.  I go back to work today.  Another day off would be great but I want to save my vacation time for the summer.  Had a good time in Duluth.  Did go to Grandma's since it was right across the street from where we were staying.  Ended up having what they call a 14 oz ribeye at Grizzlys.  Smallest steak I have had.  It was less than 1/2" thick.  I wrote that on my credit card receipt.  Our waitress was a real nice girl and it wasn't her fault.  Had a fun night in spite of it though.  Drove home in the snowstorm.  Down to 40 mph from Kelliher to baudette.  Saw an ambulance going slow with no lights on heading south.  A few miles up the road the sheriff had flares out on the road but let us through.  A friend of ours was half an hour behind us.  They made him sit for a long time as they pulled a car out of the water filled ditch.  Havent heard what happened but no good that the ambulance didn't even have flashing lights on.

Will let you know if I hear any news on that.  You guys have a great day. AND no I couldn't find the Saratoga Club, although the wife wouldn't let me go in there anyways.  :D:blush:

Lucy my chocolate lab loves our bed also.  Talk about a divider though.  I'm the last one to bed.  When I come up, there she is laying on my side checking me out for a rawhide bone to sleep with.  If I don't bring one up she gives me that look, so when I forget I go back downstairs and pick up one of her 5 or 6 that are laying around.  Then She wont move until I give here a good rub down and then forms a wedge between my wife and myself.  Sure we spoil her, just like the last dogs we had who both made it to 15 years old.  That's good for bigger dogs.  Lucy is my first pure bred, Butch and Babes were mixed and we got them from the local animal shelter.   Trying to make diet food taste good is a challenge for sure but I'm working on it.  My wife said that I don't have to follow it but I don't think it's a good idea to eat things she likes and feed her things that are good but not in our normal flavor world.  I need to drop a few anyway.  good luck.

Wow that was quick coffee, you sure are a trooper.  Morning ladies,  just scarfed down a couple frozen burritos,  we had shrimp, salmon and scallops last night with zero leftovers first today. We ate there also Lindell last time we were up that way. Couldn't tell you what I ate since the Mrs and I were double fisting Colorado bulldogs all evening....well gotta go. :)

Currently down at coville park. Sunny and 46 degrees.  Just a few boats in the marina's. Mostly kaw enforcement boats. Lots of sky rats but bit much for eagles. 2 more meetings today before I head home.

I understood your initial post-op post perfectly Coffee. And I haven't even had any tincture in this disgrace that passes for coffee in my cup here. :D

It is indeed a good morning as we finally found the lambs we were looking for: The last ones. The end. 2 buck lambs, what else? Final score 42 - 19 so you can start collecting on your bets. It was about time as we're really getting on each others nerves. I left a crock pot with some stuff in it after the meeting a few weeks ago and didn't quite get around to cleaning it up. She was not amused. Everyone needs to have a science project once in a while I always say.

Slept like a rock. That tincture really hit the spot last night. Was one of those days where the damp cold cut like a knife. Nice to see some other guys here are sleeping with some real dogs, too. When I come to bed Ruby usually has her spot picked out on the other pillow. I usually climb in and she snuggles up, wanting her ears and tummy scratched. Not unlike Mrs. Cheviot!

Got a retirement party to go to this afternoon for an old friend who was also my boss when I was in college 37 years ago. Great times, good friend, mentor, cancer survivor.. Had a review a month or so ago, got rave reviews, passed with flying colors. Brought him back in the next day and canned him due to budgetary constraints. Classless corporate maneuver. Then they have the balls to host a "retirement" party for him! Unreal. Another reason my disdain for corporate agriculture continues to fester.

What a great day.  I just got back from the Doctor and they think I have a prostate infection.  I think the gal Doc just wanted to get all oiled up and check it out, what a fun experience.

Ohhh...a prostate check. That doesn't sound like fun at all. Did they let you pick a sucker out when you were done? :P
