Dotch
Right now it's 9 - 1, bottom of the 7th. Can see the top of the 8th starting soon. There's a water bag showing on that one. They're starting to pop with regularity now so am getting my catchers mitt warmed up. A couple more ewes come in after the two this afternoon and we'll be about 1/3 of the way done. leechlake
Way to go ramalambas!!! An absolute drubbing by the boys but I hope they don't get cocky and let their guard down. The gals could go on a run themselves and make it close. Thanks for the info, I'm brewing up some mint jelly this weekend in preparation but please don't tell them. I think it's time to start drinking again, I have 4 employees and I want to fire them all and start over again but the unemployment penalties would kill me. I kept telling myself this week, only 7 more months til vacation, only 7 more months . All have a good day & weekend no cooking planned this weekend might go out everyday for dinner and have people cater to my needs for a change. Popular Post leechlake
I hear ya Coffee... Good to see you posting bobby. Seemed when we were kids mom was pushing us to eat bananas in the Summer when we were active to help our potassium and now something like that can be a negative. 7 of 8 teams set for the AA state hockey tourney; Grand Rapids, Farmington, Bobberville, Wayzata, Bemidji, Anoka, Eden Prairie. Almost could have a contest. My suggestion is that the worst finisher comes over and picks up dog waste in my yard. It would be a new concept in one of our contests but may not get a lot of entries. At the end of the day yesterday I was driving and realized I may have had the best day I've had in a few years. I called it my Superman day. Everything went well and I'm guessing that's pretty rare. Dotch
Good to see you back Bobby! Whew! A long morning bomb session. Lots of visitors. One of the reasons this place is a lousy spot to write anything. Got the pest out of here early. Mistakenly thought he was at the state wrestling tournament yesterday and would stay up there today. My bad. Instead he was pulling down the manure level in his hog pits since they were full and spreading it on the field while it was frozen. I have a feeling they were probably overfull given his track record. I made the comment that they were frozen even harder this morning so he could've got some more out. He said by the time he did that it would be too greasy. Hmmm...come into town, waste a couple hours when you should've been pulling your pits down. Then wonder why they're full again too soon. Got it. Some people's kids. No new action overnight in the lambing barn. Have had an issue with the one ewe not accepting her lamb totally. Like many critters, ewes identify their offspring by sense of smell. Sometimes for whatever reason, hormones, rubbing against another animal at the wrong time, sheer stupidity, etc., they won't accept them so intervention is called for. Luckily this lamb is smart so by grabbing the ewe occasionally and hanging onto her so the lamb can nurse without her beating on it is part of the game. Some are tempted to beat on the ewe but that's a good way to wreck a hand and really not accomplish anything positive. You just have to be patient. If it gets too bad, I can manufacture a headgate but that's a last resort. Usually with some perseverance the problem clears up on its own. Should be a great weekend to enjoy being outdoors between trips to the lambing barn. Tempting to get the Silver Hawk out if it looks like the roads are dry enough. Should prune the apple, pear and crabapple trees while I'm at it. Nice to have a supply of that stuff for grilling. Not that I couldn't do the smoker tube/pellet thing but it's something that just gets burned up otherwise. And, best of all as LL's political idol says, it's FREE! leechlake

I have a team of blood specialists who do my blood work, I don't second guess them or give them any more reason to take any more of my blood! I put my trust in people who do this for a living not guessing.. Well it did not take long this morning to realize I was back home. I woke up again at 7 this morning waiting for the gal to come in so I could make my breakfast order and instead I got the wife and she laughed at me when I requested pancakes. toast, applesauce, peaches, skim milk and a couple of cookies for the drawer. So much for the catered meals at bedside.. delcecchi, Dotch and leechlake
Dotch
I gotta get me one of them hair hats. Mrs. Cheviot would be impressed! RebelSS
Hey! I want that hat!! Can I pick a color? Boy, being offline for one day, and I have a half hour of stuff to read!!! Finally got the brand new hi-powered ultra-boofy 'puter with the all the whistles, ding dings, and tooters on line and dialed in. Wasn't too tough, start to finish took me about 2 hours, had to run security system it came with first, set all those parameters, install the Office 365 they send in an E-mail, install the search engine I wanted, and all the million other programs it has. I do love the 17'' screen, and the backlit keyboard. comes on when ya hit pad, goes off after 5 secs. This Windows 10 is kinda goofy, not hard like i've heard, but I'm not real impressed with it. It's OK. Kind of a glitzy app pusher, IMO. Also has "Cortana", ya just say "hey cortana" after a voice recognition test, and this chick comes up and says, Hi, Mark, what can i do for you? ( ) "Todays weather, Cortana" *POOF* It pops on screen, and she tells ya all about it....I like that. Worst thing was the 2.7 Gig passwords for the Microsoft, cloud, My account, Dell account, blah, blah, installed bloatware in this thing. Every one had to be different. From start to finish, which including setting fonts. notations, etc,That I like , just about 2 hrs. Not too bad for a semi-talented 'puter jock. I'm still trying to find "sounds" to set for various alerts.....that'll give me something to do. I covered the webcam, in case someone might be watching me sitting here with my morning face on. Haven't figgered out the webcam thing yet, either. Mid 50's today, pork rost going on over charcoal and apple-wood chips. Gotta see if Fareway has any of their red-skin potato salad out yet....and some green top onyums.. Gonna be outside as much as I can. Enough of the indoor 'puter pokin'. Enjoy guys! leechlake
I had a dream this morning that I was spraying green weeds with roundup. Great dream. There was even some poison ivy in the dream which must have meant I was up at the cabin. Boys lost a playoff game last night but it's double elim. Ref tossed 5-6 kids per team, there wasn't a fight or even a scrum. There was one penalty in the first two periods. He lost his way, became ultra thin skinned and really nothing effected the outcome of the score of the game by doing it but ruined the game. Also had three players on our team sidelined because they were missing a plastic flap covering their ears. I guess the 24 league games that proceeded this game didn't draw that issue to his attention? We have the same refs a lot including this wayward soul. Oh well. Today I wish I had 12 kids, I'd make a whole pig on a spit outside. Funny where we live. It's going to be 55 degrees or so and we're all giddy and half the people will be wearing shorts. If it was 55 in September everyone would break out the Fall clothes and be wearing those things. lovebigbluegills and bobberineyes
bobberineyes
Atta boy reb, sounds like a good set up. Ya it's funny how a ref can change the game LL. In ways when the snow goes it's a relief but this year is going to suck, with all the fetching last fall the pooch destroyed a big area now it's mud galore . So now it's off to the park and let him ruin some city turf. Did a home made double pepperoni pizza on the grill last night, turns out I was low on charcoal so thru in some hickory chunks for extra heat, wow did that sucker turn out Smokey, but good...have a swell day fellas. lovebigbluegills
