Opening Morning. How's it going?

Great start to the season for me here in the metro. Seven deer before 7:00, including two decent bucks.  Even drew back on a tasty looking young doe, but she took that last step to safety before I could squeeze the trigger.

As a nice bonus, heard two gobbles this morning, sadly that season is still two weeks away.

I'm gonna stick it out another coupe hours before heading off to spend some quality time in my fishing boat for the rest of the weekend.

Anyone else out this morning? How's it going for you?

Missed a doe here in the metro at about 7:15. Public land. Shot right over her back. Three deer total for me this morning. Great start to the season! Snapped a good pic of the foggy dawn too but not sure how to turn it!

Taking the kids out in shifts in the back yard. Dad going solo tonight.

Saw eight this morning.   Exceeded my expectations.   Best part was that I had for deer walk through my scent, downwind.  First group knew something was off but continued unalarmed.  Second set didn't flinch. 

That was a win for me this morning.

Saw 7 before I pulled back! Ran 50 yards! Shot in a city hunt!

Well I do have a permit to hunt cook as well! But the doe I shot was in Hoyt Lakes!
