let's keep the count up just for fun... we are at 27 BASS members...

Dazeoff,

I'd be in for a bass club possibly if I can work it in... The only thing I don't care for on those is drawing team members at each event... Sort of like to fish with my partner ya know... wink.gif We could do a FM Team Bass club... Any interest out there?

Sign me up for a F.M. bass team. I don't have a boat so I'd need a partner with one. We could have a trophy made up just for fun, and give it out to winner every week or when ever we have a fishing tournament. grin.giflaugh.gif

Just another thought. This is just for fun no money evolved and you must be a B.A.S.S. member and registered on F.M. to fish in a tournament. And what about doing some thing like using only one kind of lure or set up only. Like top water only tournament or Texas rigged worm tournament. I think that would be so much fun and really test our skills as bass fishermen. What does every one think of that?

Yeah. We could draw the technique out of a hat the morning of the tournament. That way you can't pre-fish the lake. Oh would that be a challenge.

Well I'm leaving work now so I wont be back on line until Monday, so lets hear some more ideas and thoughts on this.

Daze Off... not a bad idea. We could have the "North Metro VFers" division, the "South Metro VFers" division, etc. Although I live in the north metro, I'm in contact with a south metro group because most of their outtings are on Sunday's which is perfect for me.

Well, we seem to have some interest in a B.A.S.S./F.M. club. So now we need to get started putting things together. First off we can't forget about this from now until bass opener. LOL. We should maybe have a sign up some place so we can get every one together and talk about rules and stuff.

I would draw the technique out of the hat a day ahead and just say no pre-fishing.. that way people would only need to bring the rods and lures they normally would use for that technique...

Sounds like fun.. I could be interested in something like this...Lets start a thrread on this closer to spring and maybe get something fired up! grin.gif

I think it would lots of fun to have an FM Club - whatever shape that might take (teams/individuals, single bait, etc).

I wonder how many off those who are B.A.S.S. members actually belong to a club already and/or fish tourneys?

Daze Off

The one technique idea sounds interesting. Would definitely cut down on clutter in the boat! Definitely something to think about in the offseason. Yesterday was a sad day in my world, probably the last bass outing of the year. Heading to No. Dak. for ducks the rest of the week and then it's deer season. Not sure if I was more bummed about the end of my fishing season or more excited to chase greenheads.

did you guys notice in the one issue; a day on the lake with gerald swindel; the way he had his spinnerbaits stored along his rod rack ? i thought it might be a bracket, but couldn't tell so i e-mailed him . he wrote back that he just hooks his spinnerbaits over the lip of the rod locker, and lets the baits hang inside. the lids keeps them in place. del

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
