Smoked some lake trout..now what?

They turned out great and taste wonderful but what do I do with them? Is it ok to freeze them after they are thawed and smoked

i'd get some crackers and some friends over.

if you want to freeze it, I'd vacuum seal it.

You can freeze smoked fish and it will last longer if sealed in air tight bags like with a food saver. Another option would be to can it in a pressure cooker.

It was my first attempt at smoking them and smoking them will be now my preference when it comes to Lake Superior trout

You can can smoke lake trout I had a professor in Ely that canned smoked lake trout it was amazing.

when I catfished on The Croix I smoked the catfish and then froze them and brought them to deer camp and they were great. I think it even gave them a better firmer texture. Everyone loved them....
