Top 100 bassmaster lakes..

I fished 4 of them last year. Green is near the top of my favorites to fish in MN. I would never think of it as #76 in the country though. The smallie fishing is actually going down hill pretty fast, but the largemouth are on fire! It is difficult to get many over 2.5lbs though. I'd be lying if forced to make up a number of how many 1-3 lb largemouth I caught out there last year...

Before I moved back here to the cities I lived in Green Bay for 9 years, St Bay and north of there is the real deal. Tons and tons of fish, wind can be your friend and your worst enemy at time.s though. Chwam bay is on my list this year, I would certainly be interested in heading up there with others if interested.

A little surprised to see Leech as high as it is. In terms of quality, that lake isn't what it once was...

I've only fished Leech for the past few years so I don't know how it was in olden days, but I do know that if you don't have a 20lb sack you won't even sniff a check in a tournament. one event last year I had just a tick under 20 and finished something like 19th. That ain't too bad. If we could keep Iowan tourists from eating the 5-pounders it would be even better smile

Plus there's hope of smallies taking hold even more and adding that option...

There is no bass in the upper sip people need to just move on, and green is going down hill

I haven't fished the Missippi much for bass but I've seen results from some State Tourneys on pool 4 and 5 and the results have not been that good. I think those Elite tourneys farther south were pretty good tho.

I guess I'm surprised the river is rated this high.
