Scratches in window

Anybody have any luck removing scratches from auto glass? How did you do it and what did you use?

I took my car back to the dealer and Chevrolet replaced the glass and the window frames in the door.

Check the auto glass replacement companies. They have the epoxy that can be used to fill chips, maybe they have something similar or can use the same thing on scratches.

First you'd need to fix the source of the scratch though if it's internal.

Works every time! I had a big chip in the windshield of my truck, winshield guy came out and was concerned the insurance company would want to fix the chip rather than replace the windshield. He winked at me and went out the door to get some tools. When he came back there was no question it needed to be replaced!

Rubbing compound will take the sharp edges off the scratch that cause the glare and reflection.

Works great on a windshild with a lot of road chips also.

I didn't advocate anything, I just answered the OP question. How he gets the window paid for is up to him.
