msp airport extended parking areas

You can park at Terminal 2 Parking (ramp) for I think $13 per day (EZ Park or whatever they call it, you swipe card ahead of time, and then afterward), and take the LT Rail (free) to Term 1. Just takes a few minutes, and pretty simple. I used to use Team Parking and they were pretty good, but now the Term 2 parking ramp is cheaper and easier, and actually quicker.

One thing I can say for sure, give yourself ALL of two hours ahead of time, I missed a flight last time due to loooooooooong security lines.

My company is about 10 minutes from the airport. You are welcome to park your truck here. My cousin and his wife went to Alaska this summer and left their truck here for 2 weeks with no problems. Just thought I would throw it out there.

Disclaimer: I would hate to say nothing will happen as we all know things to happen from time to time. If you need it in a secured lot to feel comfortable I understand completely. If not you are welcome to park it here. I can't image a taxi fee would be much more than $15.00 from here to the airport.

PM for details if you would like.

+1 on Terminal 2 but you might need to drive around for a while to find a parking place. I did as Box described last week and it worked fine but when I came back there were cars waiting and following me to get my parking spot as I left. Spring break time so parking is tough to find.

Thanks for the offer, my wife feels more comfortable if it's in a secured area.

I like this idea, thanks for the info. Our flight leaves around 9am and we plan on being parked around 6am.

I've been traveling a decent amount lately and MSP is about the worst on security lines I've seen personally.

One tip if you park at Term 2. If you cant find a spot near the rail station, drop of your family and bags near the rail station, go find a spot and walk back yourself. It'll save a lot of family grief. Also, take a picture of the color/row/etc on your cell phone to help remember where you parked.

I have an app on my smart phone called ParkyMark that works great for this, you just open the app when you park and hit the button. It remembers where you parked so you don't have to.

Its actually been a time saver for me especially in areas I am not familiar with and there are lots of cars etc.

I've used Park-n-Fly for our spring vacations. You can go online and reserve a spot, so no driving around hunting. Their shuttles pick you up at your parking spot and drop you off at the airport, either terminal. Fast & easy. $12 a day plus sales tax and $3.22 booking fee.

I've used both Park and Fly and the ramp at the airport. For me the extra 3 bucks a day the convenience of dropping off your luggage at the door and parking right across from the terminal outweighs the hassle of shuttles and moving luggage around. Payment is easy swipe your credit card when you enter the ramp and again when you leave.

Right now, at the height of spring break, having a reserved spot at Park-n-Fly lets me sleep at night. I know when I get there, I won't find a full lot and have to go to the Humphrey Terminal to park and then shuttle back to the main terminal.

When we went to Phoenix a couple of weeks ago we used the Terminal 2 parking again. I seem to remember $14/day with ePark. You have 2 tram rides to get to main Terminal 1 ticketing. Ride the light rail for free between Term 2 and Term 1. Then take the Term 1 parking tram. Add's 10-20 minutes depending on how you hit the Light Rail schedule. We've gone this route on two separate vactions to save $42 in parking each time.

A bout of forgetfullness upon our return. Searched levels 1 and 2 and no auto. Finally figured out the car was in the M level. M level, what the...?!?

Solbes, I did the same thing with my vehicle last week. Came back from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 on the light rail. Thought I parked on level 2 but I actually parked on level M. I actually had to call security to help me find my truck. Thought it was stolen. I asked the security guard why they would name it level M, which is between levels 2 and 1. He said you aren't the first one to be confused with it and probably won't be the last.

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
