Big Crappie Weekend

Got into some monsters this weekend. A few 14.5-15's, a 16.5 and a 17.5. For scale, the 2nd picture with 2 fish big one is the 16.5 and the "small" one was 13.5"

Everything but the 17.5 was released

I'd attribute it more to the cutting edge mix of Mich Light/Coors Light bait. Silly me, I only had the Coors Light bait this weekend and caught smaller crappies and out of season eyes.

I think the guy used camera angle to make that 17 1/2..I say no more than 17 3/8th thems some hogs!

I have to say that I didn't catch the 16.5 or 17.5 but did get the rest in the photos. My previous best was 13.5 before that weekend which was the smallest we got as a group.

It was a great weekend and I think it turned me into a trophy hunter instead of a meal hunter

Also 3 guys fishing, probably 200 holes drilled and we caught a total of 13 crappies over 3 days
