Decoy Carriers

Hey guys,

My wife made me a custom decoy carrier as an anniversary present, and I am going to try and take some pictures tonight to show you guys. I know everyone has their own ways of transporting and storing there decoys. So post up some pictures and lets see how everyone does it. I figure this will give everyone ideas for changes and modifications in the off season.

Here are some pictures of the new decoy carrier that my wife made me. The pockets were made different sizes to allow for different sizes of decoys. One side has foam sheets inside the canvas to make it easier to remove and add some extra protection for my favorite decoys. It is made to be hung from the side of the fish house for easy access to all of the decoys while spearing. Then folded and rolled up to be placed in a bucket or bag for transport. Let me know what you think.

She did all the sewing, and I gave my input for the overall design. She put a ton of hours into sewing this thing together, a lot had to be done by hand. I am sure the price to get her to make another one would be unreasonably high. Hopefully this will last me the rest of my life as I am absolutely thrilled with how it turned out.

so how many ya got????? guys like gordie and merk might need 6-8 of those!!! gringrin

Don't you know by now that I am a spoon spinning and those things store really easy ...

Nice work on the carrier system.

I still use a square style bucket for my decoys and a also have a tackle box that doubles as a five gallon bucket lid that I use too.

That's cool BH. Looks like you guys put a lot of thought into that. That should save space in the shack.

I use a hard side rifle case made for carbine length AR rifles or fancy double barreled shot guns. It may be overkill, but a lot of times I am swimming decoys prior to mailing them and I don't want them to bang together and chip.

Otherwise if I need to haul a lot of decoys to show them off or whatever it may be then I will layer them in a small cooler.

Then there's the decoy in the pocket trick if it's a quick trip cool
