jepik
I had to log in 3 times in the last 3 wks..is there something different?
mtbucket
Same issue here. I also had trouble even logging in for a couple of days. Went through all of the steps in the FAQ for this issue, but it didn't help. I even changed my email address to a different one that I use. Then a day later I could log in again, but I have to log in almost every time I visit, now.
dfeste
I'm having the same issues. If I'm lucky it will stay logged in for an evening but that's about it. Sent an email to the administrators and they responded with check the FAQ. Something has changed.
Jim Almquist
I have had to log in once but it was something I did with Chrome otherwise I have had no problems. If your using Internet Explorer I can't help but recommend changing to Chrome.

LMITOUT
Did you guys try clearing the cookies from your browser? Go into "my stuff" on the top of this page (where you change your avatar, password, etc) and click on "cookies" on the bar on the left hand side. Click on "expire cookies" and see if that helps. dan z
Android user here, haven't had an issue unless it was an error on my part.
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted February 2, 2014 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted February 2, 2014 This checklist may help you successfully log in: in jediks case if NOTHING has changed on his end, it sounds like his cookie is corrupt and repeating #4 & #5 is the most likely fix for him. Also, if you have two log-in here that is a recipe for issues as well. From the FAQs link.1) Make sure you are entering your password correctly. Passwords are case-sensitive.2) Ensure that your browser supports cookies; if so, check the security level you are using. High levels of security restriction in certain browsers will automatically reject cookies. In order to use the key features of these forums, you'll need to accept cookies. The maker of your browser can help you with additional problems you may have with your cookie settings.3) Completely log out by hitting the Log Out link in the upper right-hand corner of the page, and then log back in again.4) After logging in, you may have to hit the F5 key, Reload or Refresh button on your browser to expedite the authentication.5) If these steps don't work you can purge your cookies for this site using the "My Stuff" link, then click the Cookies link and expire your cookies. Repeat as necessary.6) If you continue to have problems, go to the Log In page and click "Forget Your Password". Enter your registration email address into the Email Address field and a temporary password will be emailed to the email address used for the account setup. mtbucket
I have done all of that. As far as expiring the cookies, I did it many times, but nothing changes on the list to indicate if they are expired or not. I added it to my safe/allowed sites in IE and also in my AV software. I think that one of the two may be deeming that there is an expired certificate for the site, but that is just a guess. I still have to log on every visit. Not a game ender, as long as I can at least log on now.

harvey lee
Expiring cookies has not helped, Jim I tried everything and still have to log in every time. Guess I will just log in every time or take my issues to the dude who repairs my computer. Thanks anyways
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted February 2, 2014 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted February 2, 2014 What kind of browser are you using. I'm having no issues with Firefox.
Archtek
I was dropped last week. When I tried to log in, it said I had the wrong password twice. So I requested an e-mail with my password. After 3 days of waiting, it never came, so I set up a new account. That meant I had to use another e-mail because it said my regular e-mail was already in use. This time I was VERY careful to write everything down very clearly so I could't make a mistake again.I have used Chrome because of all the problems I had with IE a few years back. mtbucket
I use IE. Have always used that and never had the log in issues until last week. I have to log in about 80% of the visits.
Jim Almquist
I use IE. Have always used that and never had the log in issues until last week. I have to log in about 80% of the visits. If you were using version 8 or 9 Internet Explorer you would have less problems. By now you are at IE 10 or 11 and the upgrade if you want to call it that is done through your security updates. You can Google how to remove and it is very easy to do.
EBass
Yup I was having log in issues to last week on IE9. I just needed to log in each time. I thought the admin put in new rules on the web filter, but it's working again. I don't delete my cookies.

we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted February 3, 2014 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted February 3, 2014 Most of you who have an issue either have an issue with your cookies being corrupt or how security is handled on the device you use.The log-in issue isn't created from this end. It is on the device you are using. As for the e-mail issue it does send the email to the address on record. I suspect it got caught up in your spam filter. For the vast majority of those using the forums there is not an issue. For those with the issue it is 99% likely on your end. jepik
I finally got log back in..I put internet explorer as my back up browser.. no idea why that works or what I did..seems to work for now..fingers crossed
GIANT1
Never had an issue until today !!! now today Iv had to log in 3 times ! EACH VISIT and the site is slower then H#77 its not my device because no issues on any other site
leechlake
my PC has issues but 99% of the time I'm on here on my Mac and I never have to log in even if I shut my computer off the night before and I had a site rule violation last week and was blocked until I re-read forum policy and when I got un-blocked I didn't have to log in even after that. My Mac must have something set up that works perfectly for visiting this site. What I find unusual is I'd assume most of you didn't have to log in repeatedly in the past and now for whatever reason you do.
harvey lee
What kind of browser are you using. I'm having no issues with Firefox. MY desktop and laptop are both IE 9. The desktop works fine but the laptop it's sign in every time and the same with my Iphone. Both started having issues about the same time. Not that big of a deal on my laptop as I rarely use that but my Iphone is a real pain.I am going to keep playing with it and if my phone continues to have this issue, I will just sign in each time as It remembers my password so it is not that big of an issue, I just have to remember to always log in during each visit. I only log into HSO when I am in the fishhouse and the fish are slow or in the evening when the rattle reels are down so it's not that many times to worry about.I have no other log in issues with my phone except for here. Not saying it is on the HSO end but boy, I am lost. HSOList and Amazon are all fine and everything else is fine with log in info.I do not understand why my desktop works and my laptop does not with the same browser, only the laptop is a issues as my desktop is fine.Guess I have to make some calls as I have tried everything suggested with zero results. eurolarva
I am using firefox and have the same issue. This is not just an advanced IE issue. Seems like about a month ago this site had a make over and after that for about a week the site was super slow and as time went by it has gotten better. I have to log in almost every other day using firefox
