Is there a wrong way to cook a darn egg? Or is it possible there are many ways to cook an egg and get the same results?

You can overcook and get rubber whites and a green layer on the yolk. That seems wrong. I don't know about peeling.

Now I know this is going to be a long Frigging winter when we are up to SEVEN pages in just under two months,........ on, ......BOILING EGGS.

I sure hope the sap starts running soon so we can at least think grillin, and smoking and boiling sap will soon be topic of interest.... Oh wait a

Ok I am boiling the eggs I have in the house which is only 4 of them. I am heading into town in a while to buy more eggs to try pickling them Per Giant1 recipe. So do I let the brine cool before I drop the eggs in? And then keep in frig?

no just dump over eggs and cover with lids hand tight they will self seal in the fridge !!! ready in 5 days but if you can wait there way better after 14 days

Yes if you are OK with rubber eggs and dried out yoks. But i guess to some people pizza rolls and a diet coke is a meal

just did a dozen with the hole poked. Perfect once again.

I am so glad I cook eggs wrong, so this hole poking method works better.

Boiled a dozen Sat.....Tacked Them! Peeled pretty darn good, I should have let them cool a wee bit more but overall I LOVE this method!

Did you try without tacking them?

Normally they break when I do them the "normal" way without tacking. For the minute it took me total to tack, I will just tack them from now on.

I saw on the internetz that if you sprinkle the dust of a ground unicorn horn into the boiling water the eggs will peel themselves.
