Best bow shops in the Metro?

After being a long time supporter of Schaffer Archery I realized that there were actually shops in the Twin Cities area that did not talk to me like I was a second class citizen. (Although,If you can avoid dealing with Schaffer himself and you can get Jason to be your guy then that is a fine shop) Has arrogant attitude finally was enough to drive me away. I have moved to A1 Archery in Hudson, they go above and beyond to treat you right. You don't need to worship the ground the owner walks on to fit in there either.

A-1 for me also, if it were me or if I was recommending a place for a buddy it would be A-1.

Bwana is alright, bought my first nice bow there, they don't have as many choices and accessories as A-1 though.

I'll pass on Schaffers, too pushy for me, everytime I been in there they want me to buy the bow they like and not the one I like. Not much for choices on bows or accessories either.

I have to tell you, I like John Schaffer and I like his staff too but the customer service at A-1 in Hudson simply cannot be beat. All of them are truly fantastic. Never judgemental and they will work with anyone on anything that comes in the door. A big plus fot A-1.

Selection is limited, service seems decent, but Archery Specialists in Osseo has a 50 yard indoor range.

Bwana was decent to deal with. When I got my bow from the DNR auction, they set the draw weight and length, fixed the peep sight and general inspection, all for no charge. Picked up a release and some arrows from them for a decent price.

Archery Country in Rogers is so-so.

Haven't really checked out any others yet myself.

I went to A-1 in Hudson this last year based on info from this forum.

Went during busy time but was treated like the only guy there.

Tuned my bow and made a couple of simple recommendations.

Charged me 20 bucks.

Customer for life.

I ended up going to both Schaeffer's and Cabin Fever. Apparently, I must of lucked out when I got Roger at Schaeffer's, because he was very nice and eager to work with me. I was able to shoot four different bows, and I had a pretty good idea what I liked. I figured I would be doing business with Roger at Schaeffer's in the near future. Since my buddy and I had really nothing else going on, we decided to head over to Cabin Fever just for the heck of it... And I'm glad we did! I dealt with Jeff, who I think is the owner, and what a nice guy. I gave him my price range, and he picked out a bow for me (Hoyt Charger, which I was already partial to from shooting at Schaeffer's), and he set it up to my draw length and put a rest and sight on it. They had league tonight, so he told me he would take me in the basement if I wanted to shoot it. I was up front that I wasn't buying anything tonight, but he still went out of the way showing and explaining all of the extras to me. It was obvious to me that Jeff knew what he was talking about, and loved his job. It was an all around great experience, and I will be going back to purchase it once I decide what I want for all the extras.

MUsky- I'm glad to hear you had such a great experience at Cabin Fever. Jeff is the owner is truly is a great guy to work with. He is runs a great business and will work with anyone. I've bought two bows there and I have all my service done there. On top of that he has given both of my daughters lessons on shooting.

As far as the Hoyt CHarger. That is a really nice bow. I know two people who have bought them, both from Cabin Fever in fact. I can't wait to see it when you get it.
