All of this because the govt wants to keep giving more than they should. This health care b s should have never happpened in the first place. So Im glad that somebody is saying something and fighting.And to the give and take attitude. Too many of us give way too much. And yet there are way more that dont pay their share. Not everyone is equal. You want to improve your life and situation, then do it. Isn't that the way it is meant to be? And in the end look the sportsman and many more are sacrificing. Not the free loaders. Sorry for the rant it just isn't right.

If any politician had the cajones required to stand up to you and the rest of Americans, they'd say it is high time we raised taxes and stopped all the borrowing.

We are borrowing nearly half of the money to run the government. None of the wars have been paid for... Taxes are too low. Next time you look in the mirror; you'll be looking at a freeloader. Like Jack Nicholson said, "You can't handle the truth". Much easier to blame someone less capable than you than appreciate we borrow too much.

Man up instead of blaming the WIC program.

There are also 5.2 million vets on disability if you want to blame the 'freeloaders'. I'm only pointing out the wrongness of your statement, not the wrongness of disabled vets.

I am still young enough to personally know/work with girls that are benefiting from the system for having kids. Hard truth but they know they can make plenty of money for having a couple. Do they care about the well being of the kids, no. Welfare, WIC and yes even some vets are abusing the system. You really think the answer to that is to raise taxes even more?

I have spent a lot of time overseas on medical missions and do my share here too so I can confidently say that volunteers have and do more for the needy than any government ever will. For free.

I know it's impossible for .gov, but reducing spending could help.

Way too many subsidies for the rich? farms <ethanol and crops<,oil,coal etc. they don't need it,For the poor yes it needs cut and looked into.But many need help. a no loopholes tax system with percentages would calm that argument and be pretty equal.So many other taxes are based on what is spent/bought why not income.

Sorry Dtro, worked very hard and payed a lot of taxes. The difference between you and me is you can't see the forest for the trees. There are a lot of people paying low taxes and making millions in dividends. They don't work hard, they don't pay much tax. Just working hard doesn't mean you make a lot of money, nor does it mean you pay a lot of tax. Romney is a posterchild of wealth and low taxes. He took less than his full deductions in order to stay above 10% tax rate on 13 million in income in 2011. He isn't the only one in that group by a long, long way. Obama, too, pays too little in federal income taxes.

When I say taxes are too low-I don't necessarily mean yours, but believe me...taxes are too low in America. If we borrow 38% of the funds used to run the government-taxes are too low.

You don't have to like it and politicians won't say it, but I guarantee you I'm spot on. The Teaparty can't win by telling you taxes are too low. Picking on 3 years olds is much easier. Just sayin.

If someone worked hard to create the money necessary (and already paid income tax!) to create millions in dividend income, who are we to double dip and take more of that money? Good for them for having the smarts to 1) create it 2) save it 3) invest it in ways that make more money. It's always great when a liberal links the word "freeloader" to 3 year olds and disabled vets, knowing all too well children and handicapped are not the target of that word.
