Ended up being a pretty good bear season!

Recommended Posts

With 3 people we had 5 baits going since day 1 of baiting and by our count, which was pretty conservative, we had 20 different adult bears coming to 5 piles 26 total if you count cubs. One pile we had 8 different bears on camera.

Opening night I got this 370 lb. boar at 7:50 pm. with my 12 gauge in the no Quota zone on public land!

Just got back from Middle River on a bear trip. There were four of us. No one saw a bear or had one hit any of our bear sites. We hunted state ground. I think a lot of the bears were in corn fields on private ground. I can honestly saw that I have never met such nice people as I (we) did in Middle River. They tried to help us out as much as they could. Its just too bad that we didn't go to the local watering hole earlier, as we might have been able to get on some good private ground next to the corn. Still a fun trip though. Maybe next year!
